I Am Thankful For America's Gift To My Generation
I am thankful for America’s gift to my generation because it is just amazing how much stuff I can do and how much stuff I have. The gifts that America has given me are food, clean water, good education, and to be able to sign up for any job I want. The gift of food is given to me because my parents work for money to pay for the food, and food is provided because people grow and make the food. In conclusion, I am grateful for the gift of food to me by the people who make it and America’s soil that helps grow it. I am thankful for the gift of clean water to my generation because I know that some people don’t have clean water like we do. In Haiti almost everyone does not have clean water because there is so much bacteria in the water that it is not good for the human body. Also, there is no place to filter the water so there is still bacteria in the water when they drink it. In conclusion, I am grateful for the gift of clean water to me and soon maybe the whole world. …show more content…
In some places kids don’t have good education like we do, and they just want to learn everything they can before they grow up. Some kids like to know stuff like, how many continents there are, how many Oceans there are, or how the past was. In conclusion, I am grateful for the gift of good education to me and soon maybe the whole world. I am thankful for the gift of being able to pick what ever job I want to have when I grow up. I know some people don’t chose their job, but they are forced to do work even if they don’t like that job. For instance, some kids have to work in banana farms because they have to earn money to put food on the table. In conclusion, I am grateful for the gift of being able to pick my own job when I grow up because not everyone in the world

Finally, the third thing that I am mainly thankful for is, all the summer’s I spent at my grandma’s house in Kentucky. I have a lot of reasons I am thankful for this but some of them are that a lot of her friends have birthdays in the summer so I get to help her cook their cake and make their favorite flavor of home made ice cream. Another reason is because, my cousins live in Kentucky and the summer is the only time I can spend time with them. The third reason is we do arts and crafts like, paint my bedroom, and make blankets to give to people for Christmas.…

As Brooks says, “When was the last time you were grateful for the spots on a trout?” (Brooks 5)The first small thing I am thankful for is color. Without color life would be so boring to just be in all black and white all the time. Color shows creativity and individuality. Another thing I am grateful for is dishwashers. Dishwashers have made my life so much easier. When dishes are my chore for the week I can just load and unload the dishwasher opposed to having to hand wash every single dish that had been used. Flash drives are also a big life savor. I never thought to be grateful for them before this assignment. I chose now to be grateful because I have all my pictures saved on a flash drive. If I were to lose that I would lose not only all my pictures, but all the memories that go along with them. Being appreciative for the little things can make you so much happier. Once one realizes that they will notice all the little things that make life a whole lot easier and help in the simplest…

I grew up in a very loving and caring family who always made sure my basic needs were met. I never went hungry unless it was my own choice; I always had clothes on my back and a roof over my head no matter how tough things got with our finances. All my clothes might have been hand-me-downs, I never had the new toys or gadgets, I never knew what it was like to have cable television and when I finally was able to start making an allowance it was only two-dollars every two week because that was all my parents would spare. Now as a young adult, I am very grateful for my childhood and how I was raised with the values that were instilled in me. All my…

To be thankful is to be conscious of the benefit they have received. Too many people take things for granted. Many people believe that things come for a reason or that they come because you want them. Hard work goes into getting those things and when you get them some rarely thank the individual. Thankfulness is more than saying “thank you” it’s being happy with what you have, what you or others are able to provide for you. Not wanting more than you already have. From experiences I have been deemed as an unthankful person not being gracious for what I have. I am always told that kids elsewhere have it worse off than I do and they are happy with what they have. I don’t think I’ve ever thanked my parents for putting food on the table or buying me clothes. I found it as something expected that they would just do because they were my parents. As I get older I realize the work and effort put in by parents to provide for their kids. Just saying “thank-you” goes a long way with some people because they know that you are acknowledging what they have done for you.…
