I Am Legend Research Paper
Today we discuss the battle of two epic figures, two super loved characters which rule our hearts, two highly proficient individuals, two.. well okay, the list will clearly never end. So, get ready, fasten your seat belts and experience an opinion changing battle ! ( Since it's not life changing, duh! ) Let's engage in the task we love to do, judge others! and find out who emerges as the victor in this BATTLE OF FICTION! (drumrolls please! )
ROUND 1
* PROFESSIONAL CHOICE : Quick revision, Sherlock Holmes is the first consulting detective ever! while James Bond is a British secret service agent in MI 6, which is quite cool but come on, Sherlock is a prototype, he is self employed (Respect!) while James Bond goes on missions alloted to him,

He has excellent social skills which come handy in completing his missions. On the other hand, Sherlock is more of a social recluse. Again, we are no one to object to this, but Sherlock is rude at times and if we are going deeper, then let's take this into consideration as well. Undeniably, having social eloquence helps. Bond wins this round!
ROUND 4
*USE OF EQUIPMENT : There was no pun intended initially, but you can assume it if you want! I know it fits well! James Bond has equipments he very well knows the use of! ( let's stop the giggle now!) On a serious note, James Bond uses a lot of ammunation plus technical help. Whereas Sherlock uses observation and deductive reasoning to solve crimes! Both are an expert in their work. James Bond is more engaged with action while Sherlock, with mystery. Brain wins over guns, but let's give Bond some credit too, he is quite good with his work and guns, so let's make this round a draw!!
THE FINAL ROUND !!!!!! (more drumrolls please!! )
*EXTRA SKILLS : Okay, so apart from judging the characters on their work, let's see if they possess any notable skills. Sherlock is an amazing violin player! Bond on the other hand, plays with women, but his skills of being a casanova clearly will not help him here (Also, it's not a skill!
…show more content…
He discovers himself as a friend after meeting John and never leaves his side, though his ways of expressing his care are peculiar, but we know it! Bond does not specifically care about anyone. His attention changes according to time and missions.
Well, as it can be guessed, Sherlock wins the final round, and the Battle! James Bond was a remarkable competitor, of course !!!!!
What becomes important is the fact that whether they win or lose, these characters have set their own impressions in the heart and mind of the readers and the audience, which is really outstanding!!!!
I understand that our views can differ and thus would love to know the readers responses! Any extra points which could be added or a refuting point is most

In “The Use of Spies,” of Sun Tuz’s The Art of War there are countless reasoning’s as to why a spy is a spy. In the film “Goldeneye,” these reasoning’s are showed countlessly. One is early in the movie when James Bond and his newly girlfriend is taking a nice drive through the mountains but suddenly his ex-girlfriend appears. She antagonizes him to race through the mountains which he does. Sun Tuz’s says “They cannot be properly managed without benevolence and straightforwardness (39).” This is shown by Bond listening to the lady as she says “you’re just trying to show the sizes of your…” James Bond then goes on to say engine and as she tells him to stop the car he does so. Although as a spy you try to limit your soft sports, he had a soft…

So here I am feeling rather shaken and stirred that Bond has quite literally made the double 0, managing to have scraped up a spot alongside the literary greats as number ninety-seven in Time Magazine’s ‘Top 100 Books Of All Time’. This may not come to a surprise to most of you, as the several books and films make it clear that the popular franchise is an icon in pop culture. But yet, I think we are forgetting that a classic should be more than just petty delight.…

Whether regarded by viewers as the worse or greatest movie to date, the “I Am Legend” movie in my opinion addresses numerous social issues that we as a society face and should be more aware of in today’s era. According to Imdb.com, “The ‘I Am Legend’ movie starring renowned actor Will Smith focusses on “a scientist named Robert Neville who is incapable of stopping the horrible virus once created to cure cancer. At first, the virus looked promising and was given to cancer patients to treat their disease but few years down the line it transformed into a plague which killed most of the people on earth or turned them into zombies. Neville is the only unaffected human survivor in New York and the world, for many years he has been sending out daily…

Apocalypses are defined as the end of the world, whereas creation represents the beginning. What comes in between? Once an Apocalypse ends, a creation story begins; thus, there is a cycle. This cycle is portrayed by Richard Matheson in his novel I Am Legend. The protagonist, Robert Neville, survives an apocalyptic world war and a dust-storm-carried disease, but he survives alone. He is the end and the new beginning. Thus, Matheson suggests that within an apocalypse, there can still be elements of a creation myth. To truly begin again, Neville must resort to warrior-like behavior: killing. Neville only has the intention of staying safe and finding a companion to make the apocalypse more bearable. However, during an apocalypse, things never go…
