I Am A Citizen Of Pakistan Case Study

I am a citizen of Pakistan - a country which is the most controversial from past decade, has the sixth largest populated countries, with weak economy status, suffering with terrorism, growing poverty and inflation rate along with low literacy rate. Its large chunk of its population living in rural areas which are suffering from absence of basic needs and poor infrastructure whereas urban population is facing burden of population, poverty, waste disposal, pollution and security threats. This situation creates the worst health indicators and massive burden of diseases.

It opened my eyes and I felt their pain and suffering of under privileged citizens, who cannot cure themselves and their love ones due to accessibility, their financial background and lack of basic health and hygiene related knowledge but feeling someone’s pain is not good enough until I am unable to do anything for them. Most diseases are preventable through vaccination/immunization or by way of simple awareness and the provision of some very basic facilities For example, just by providing clean potable water and proper sanitation to the entire population, we can get rid of diseases like Diarrhea, Dysentery, Gastroenteritis, Typhoid, Hepatitis-A and many others. Infant mortality rates are increasing due to untrained mid-wifes playing with precious lives. Simply due to lack of awareness, young mothers are losing their lives due to excessive bleeding during child-birth, although there is a very cheap medicine available for miraculously controlling such bleeding. The vaccination programs are also showing poor out-reach, with increasing Polio cases being reported.
