Venezuela officially called the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is a tropical country on the northern coast of South America. Its territory covers around 916,445 square kilometers with a population of 29,105,632. Its is divided in to 23 states. The capital of Venezuela is Caracas which is also the largest city. Venezuela is considered a country with high biodiversity, with habitats ranging from the Andes mountains in the west to the Amazon Basin rainforest in the south. Venezuela was colonized by Spain in 1522. It became the first Spanish American colony to declare independence in 1811, but did not achieve full independence until 1821.
Climate Its climate ranges from humid low-elevation plains, where average annual temperatures range as high as 82.4°F. In the tropical zone below 800 meters temperatures are hot, with yearly averages ranging between 78.8 and 82.4°F. Depending on where you are traveling and what season it is will depend on what types of clothes you need to pack. For example, If you are traveling to Caracas in the summer time you will need to pack shorts, t-shirts, bathing suites, sandals warm weather clothes.

In Venezuela you can rent a car to get around the city which is recommended considering that Venezuela has the lowest gas prices in the world, at $0.48 per gallon. Also you can take the buses or a taxi cab. In Venezuelan you use bolívares. The bolívar was adopted by the monetary law of 1879, replacing the venezolano at a rate of 5 bolívares = 1 venezolano. 1 U.S.A dollar is about 4,289 bolivares.

Angel Falls- An American pilot, Jimmy Angel, accidentally discovered Angel Falls in Venezuela. He was flying over the area in 1935 when he landed on the top of a mountain in search of gold. His plane got stuck in the jungle on top of a mountain when he noticed the huge waterfall below him. Jimmy decided to named the falls Angel
