Hybrid Car Persuasive
Benefits of owning an Environmentally Green Vehicle
Imagine a day when you will no longer be able to drive your vehicle to work or anywhere you would like to go. This could be a possible outcome due to the fact that over the years, thousands of cars have been manufactured and most of them run and depend on fossil fuels. Today these fossil fuels are potentially in danger of running out due to the use of them in the vehicles we travel in every day. Currently cars such as hybrids are being manufactured and are being brought to attention so this problem will be less likely to occur. Hybrid cars are able to run on electricity and if the battery runs out of electricity then it resorts to using gasoline. The use of electricity can help reduce many problems in the environment and for some financially. Hybrid cars are efficient, environment friendly, and can help America not rely on other countries for fossil fuels.
Hybrid cars can have many benefits that make it one of the most efficient types of cars in the automotive industry. As renewable-info states, “The basic definition of hybrid cars would be [..] mostly the combination of an internal combustion engine and one or more electric motors. Such combination enables hybrid cars to have higher fuel efficiency (..) compared to traditional gas-powered cars”(Haluzan). This kind of a feature allows cars like Toyota Prius to drive at fifty one miles per gallon rate compared to an average of twenty four miles per gallon in a gasoline dependent car. This high of a mileage can help a consumer save a lot of money since in this type of an economy gas prices do not seem to go down. According to CNN Money, an average family spends about 364.09 dollars per month. A hybrid car does not use the gasoline unless it runs out of electricity and when it does run out of electricity it would use gasoline. Electricity is much cheaper than gasoline, therefore if a regular person drives about 80 miles a day then a hybrid car may not even have

With the evolution of hybrid vehicles some consumers have made a commitment to affect the environment in a very positive way. A hybrid car is a vehicle that combines two or more sources of power that can directly or indirectly provide propulsion power. Cities like Seattle have public busses that run on diesel but are also electric and powered by wires throughout the city. Once away from these wires, the diesel engine starts to function as a second contributor to the movement of the bus, but the electric engine is mainly functioning throughout the lifespan of these public busses. This system produces a minimum amount of negative carbon released into the atmosphere. Although cities have adopted this requisite, people are starting to adjust to it as well. Not only does owning a hybrid vehicle benefit the future, but also getting extraordinary mileage to the gallon is economical.…

While everyone acknowledges that it is a very efficient car, the question is whether or not it is worth it, due to the vary environmentally damaging processes that must undergo to produce it [4]. One of the main points in this debate is that the batteries, the things that make a hybrid efficient, are extremely polluting and dangerous, and the mining methods used to acquire the lead and other materials is a very environmentally degrading process [4]. With two distinct sides there is now a heated debate between petrol-heads and…

Gasoline powered vehicles are better! No, hybrids are better! Have you heard these two points-of-view? This last election, the question of energy was a part of both party’s platforms. They talked about wind and solar versus coal and oil, and gasoline versus hybrid vehicles. So here we are, the election is over, but the battle between a gasoline powered vehicles versus a hybrid continues. You might know someone who owns a hybrid car. My uncle bought one in 2006 and for him it works great, but he usually just travels back and forth to work. However, my uncle’s needs are not the same as my dad who is a contractor. In the end, you need to weigh the pros and cons before deciding on which vehicle is best for you. After much research, it is my opinion that a gasoline powered car is better than a hybrid for these reasons: purchase and repair costs, towing and passenger/cargo capacity, and the cars impact on the environment.…

A hybrid vehicle is one that combines the best features of two different energy sources, one of which is electric power. The three vehicle I would choose is a Ford Escape, Chevrolet Tahoe, and a Honda Insight. Hybrid are a viable option than other cars because owner will never have to buy gasoline. Hybrid cars are controversial today because the hybrid cars still burn gasoline and emit greenhouse gases and they still have to use gasoline to power the battery. The hybrid only adds efficiency to the gasoline engine, instead of replacing it entirely. The hybrid car remains as a major emitter of pollution. While it may contribute less to global warming, it still contributes significantly. If people keep switching to hybrids over time yes the contribution towards global warming will less eminent, but it will still continue to pollute the…

Changes are being made in the designs of automobiles. These changes will certainly take time, considering it has been over a century for the gasoline combustion engine to become what it is today. In the United States, car companies have joined forces to develop newer cleaner technologies. The research on alternate fuel sources for cars began long ago, but it was not until 1999 that the first hybrid electric powered vehicle was sold. This car was manufactured by automaker Honda, and was called the Insight. An electric hybrid vehicle employs the operation of a small engine to assist a typically battery powered electric system. The electric motor propels the front wheels at low speeds, and then at higher speeds, the standard internal combustion engine takes over. When the engine is running, it automatically charges the batteries used for the electric motor…
