Hutch Sales Center Advertising Case
Hutch should also advertise the store opening on channels like History, Discovery, and Nat GEO; as 45.9% of the population is made up of either the Red, White, and Blue demographic or Shotguns & Pickups PRIZM clusters. These demographics are similar in that they enjoy outdoor activities and adventure, so these channels are most likely some of the more popular stations in the Dalton area. We recommend beginning to run television ads two weeks prior to the store opening.

Each of our locations is located in an exclusive upscale neighborhood, which offers relaxation to our customers for being in a clean and safe environment. Each location is approximately 16,000 square feet of retail space, which allow us to demonstrate cooking, preparing and tasting our products. “The stores are stocked with the very best domestic and imported foodstuffs and divided into the following departments: Fresh Bakery and Pastries; Fresh Produce; Fresh Meat & Seafood; Condiments and Packaged Foods; Cheese’s and Specialty Dairy Products” (rEsources, 2008). It’s key placement strategy will revolve around proximity to university students, blue collar workers, and middle class average-joes. We intend for our primary method of promoting to be promoting the bands and not the actual restaurant itself. The modern consumer has been advertised to and marketed to so consistently that they tend to be leery of most conventional marketing efforts (Elliot, 2006). However, promoting the band would help to encourage a higher turnout, better future bands, and more…

Tanglewood Stores is an institution that focuses on providing core values and employee participation. In order to provide an effective organization at all levels, an institution needs to look at all levels and provide adequate analysis on labor requirements/acquisition, available positions, and be able to project requirements and future position availabilities. Additionally, what is more important is ensuring that an employee or future employee is matched to the job they are qualified for. According to Heneman III, Judge, Kammeyer-Mueller…

    1. Start by developing a recruitment guide like that shown in Exhibit 5.3 in the textbook. Note that the current situation differs from the example provided in the book because there is no specific timeline for hiring; this is a continuous recruiting effort because even as positions are being filled, new positions are becoming available. It is also different because Tanglewood does not have a specific list of minimal educational requirements as qualifications.…

    Pocket Pro Advertising

We, like many of the other areas, get hit up often for sports advertising in our communities. As a proud supporter of our youth athletics, it's somewhat impulsive for us to advertise in their annual sports posters. We recently worked with a company called Pocket Pros, claiming to be collecting advertising for several schools in our service territory. We agreed to advertising in 4 of our schools and submitted payment for the invoice. Later, I received a call from another company collecting on behalf of Watford City High School, stating that they work exclusively with the school for their sports posters. Since we had already paid that invoice recently, this threw up a red flag for me. I started researching the information that I had from an email…

In their article “Advertising and People of Color,” Clint Wilson and Felix Gutierrez talk about stereotypes being portrayed in the media, even today. A good example of this is of the Aunt Jemima pancake mix. Then, the company featured a stereotypical, heavy, loud black woman (mammy) advertising the pancake mix. Some of the advertising was more neutralized; for example, Rastus is shown serving both black and white children breakfast (284).…

    Premier Furniture Case

The Premier Furniture Company of Newfield, North Carolina, centers on manufacturing high-quality home furniture for distribution. By 1975, Premier found that product quality and service no longer assured success in the markets they were in; therefore, credit terms and financing of dealers became a critical marketing tool. Regrettably, Premier’s weighty financing of dealers corresponded with a national credit squeeze and higher interest rates on borrowed money. In 1984, Richard Zimmerman, the credit analyst for the Premier Furniture Company, took over the task of assessing the financial health of Premier’s customers. Two of their accounts, Designers Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA, and Walcott Department Stores of Hartford,…
