Humorous Wedding Speech: Do Women Make Better Nurses Or Men
Today I am going to discuss my generalization. My generalization is that women make better nurses/doctors than men. I’m going to be introducing people who have made a huge impact on my life choices today. The first one will be my mom. She gave up so much for me and she is always there for me. The second person will be my Grandma. She has taught me, love, no matter how hard it is. The third person will be my Father. I want to introduce him to kinda support my fact but yet give other people's views. I am going to start from the beginning of each person’s life and make my way up from what they do today. My intention to do this is because, I don’t think either make a better doctor/ nurse than each other, I think it depends on the road you took …show more content…

After a couple of years she became hooked back on drugs but this time it was worse, my grandma tried to put her back in a rehab but because she was an adult she could not force her. After she hit the age twenty-three she was pregnant again with her second child. She was still using drugs until three months before she had to give birth. My grandma still allowed her to live under her roof knowing that she was still doing drugs and was pregnant. My grandma eventually had enough courage and kicked her out after she had her second child. It wasn’t because of the drugs, but instead, it was the way she abused my grandma mentally and my grandma had had

My grandmother play one of the must important roles in my life. She have been with me since the first day of my life when I was born. She is a mother of 5 children, my 3 ankles, my aunt and my mother. Through her life she have always to put on us all the good values of our culture. She have been a strong mother who worked all her life to give her 5 children a better life than what she had. While an interview I did with her, she spoke to me about her mother, my great grandmother who died 8 years ago at age of 102 years old. She told me a little bit of her lives as children, they were 15 brothers and sister and always lived together till each one of them got marry and move to their own lives. Today there is only 7 of the left. While in this interview I asked my grandmother about the government during her childhood, she spoke to me about Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, a dictator who controlled The Dominican Republic for about 31 years. She told me how cruel he was and how strict everything was during that time “ Nuestras vidas eran como un infierno” (life was like hell), she described how this man always got what e wanted to get not matter what or who it was, “fue el tiempo mas duro que vivimos en Rep Dom nadie tenia control de nada solo el, “el chivo” ” ( this was the hardest time we lived in the Dom Rep nobody had control of anything but him, “The goat”).…

I could tell people this is why I don’t try or want to do anything but I don’t because I know that my grandma would never want. I feel that anyone going through the loss of a friend or family member should always think of the positive outlook instead of the negative. Looking at the negative side of it can create all different kinds of problems for a person. If you look at the positive you can use that as motivation to do anything in life. Life can get hard but you can never let the hardships depict and destroy your life. You aren’t on this earth for a long time so you have to make the best of…

We have always been completely honest and upfront with each other, and I feel that much of my respect I hold for her is in the mature way she spoke and treated me from a young age. She encouraged me to discover life and overcome obstacles through hands on experience, standing close by for anything I could possibly need. I am so blessed to be the generation of a daughter that was raised with the wisdom of two strong, independent females present throughout my entire life. Setting the example without even knowing, my Nana is someone that earned her rights as an American woman during a time that the world was not in her favor. Without her dedication to her strong work ethic and continuance to better herself through difficult times, I imagine my life wouldn’t be as overflowing with opportunity and…

Good morning, America. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comfort of everyday routine, the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any red-blooded American. But in the spirit of commemoration, whereupon important events of the past, usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, are celebrated with a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this Thanksgiving day by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are, of course, those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, I may be actively placed on lists, and men with guns will soon be marching in our very streets. Why?…

There was this one bright sunny morning when I saw a man with a white beard, wearing a blue check shirt, probably in his 80’s swinging on his rocking chair, sipping his hot ginger tea and a few biscuits. This is not what I saw but i noticed something else. I noticed, he was looking at the bunch of young children playing on the other side of the road. And guess what ?? not only this. Deep inside his heart he knew that he would not be able to witness this beautiful moment of watching his grandchild play in front of him only because he had a very few years with him.…
