    “In order for some people to be happy, sometimes they have to take risks. It’s true these dangers put them at risk of being hurt.” This was a quote from Meg Cabot in 2002. This quote fits well with motocross. Motocross is a way of life for most people that partake in it. The thrill of racing someone so close that you could tap them on their opposite shoulder, 20 feet in the air, is what we, the motocross racers, live for. For those uninformed of what motocross is, I will explain. Motocross is competition dirt bike racing which takes place on either large outdoor tracks, or indoor tracks during cold climate racing. There are many obstacles such as jumps that can be as long as 100 feet, to closely packed rollers, called whoops that can be knee deep in depth. Along with manmade obstacles, after a full day of racing the track will form deep ruts due to the dirt bikes tires, and large braking bumps that can very easily throw an inexperienced rider over the bars. All of this is can be competed by as any as 40 riders at a time, which can make for very exciting racing.…

Particular emphasis will be placed on the music that accompanies Hip Hop culture and how this music resembles and differs from other, perhaps more traditional, styles of music. The course will examine the roots of Hip Hop culture, both musical and cultural and trace its emergence as an urban- based sub culture. Mobile phones have given rise to new rules of etiquette, and even new laws that regulate their use. Concerns about public safety and mobile phones are often in the news, making some people wonder if mobile phones are a good idea. Should you buy a mobile phone, or continue to use one? One advantage of having a mobile phone is free long distance. One of the big reasons for the rise in mobile phone usage is that you can call anywhere in the country for the same price that you can call your next-door neighbour. This lack of long distance charges has led to many people getting mobile phones who ordinarily may not have been interested. Also, many people now use their mobile phones exclusively, after cancelling their home phone service. Having one less bill to pay is definitely a positive. However, mobile phone bills, let alone the cost of the phone itself, are very expensive. If you get a very basic mobile phone plan with only a few minutes allocated for calling time, you will not pay very much every month. However, if you are like most people, you may choose a plan with several hundred or even thousand minutes and will include extras, such as text messaging. These plans can run well more than 100 dollars per month, and may come with a one- or two-year contract, limiting your choices if a cheaper plan becomes available. Woe to those who go over their allotted minutes. Mobile phone bills can easily become 1,000 dollar nightmare. Having said this, mobile phones have other advantages too. This report revealed conditions where workers work up to 72 hours a week with compulsory overtime, have insecure employment contracts and work in unsafe factories, where no or inadequate protection is offered while working with toxic chemicals. Research also showed that wages are below minimum wage, workers suffer inhuman treatment and are rarely aware of their rights or of Nokia’s Code of Conduct. When doing piece work, quotas are often set extremely high, women are often fired when they become pregnant and there is no freedom of association. This research focuses on Nokia and aims to find out whether the conclusions of the SOMO report and the publicity that followed afterwards had any harmful effects for the reputation of Nokia among consumers in The Netherlands. The target groups of this research are consumers and potential consumers of Nokia between the age of 18 and 65. Nokia is the largest supplier of a wide range of mobile phones and its goal is to have the best quality products and services in the mobile phone industry. The company has a strict set of supplier requirements that are integrated in the contracts with their subcontractors and suppliers. Nokia tries to do business with suppliers that have the same standards as Nokia, but if the ethical performance of one of its suppliers might become questionable the company will compel such a supplier to take corrective action. However, if a supplier refuses to change any of the issues addressed Nokia is prepared to reconsider its business.
