How I feel during camps
Geeks & Soyou – Officially Missing You Too Lyrics

English Translation:

The words I barely got out – good bye
Now on this night that I’m left alone without you
I’m still, I’m officially missing you

Like the night I waited for you
The absence of our relationship was long and dark
I hope this isn’t the end
I wanna go back
I fixed everything you wanted me to but where are you?
I’m left alone and I’m lonely
The wind seems especially colder today
Why do you look so fine?
You have no tact but
I just need you to smile like before

Ooo can’t nobody do it like you
Said every little thing you do
Hey baby say it stays on my mind
And I, I’m officially missing you

To me, it’s only you
I am hurting because of you
I try to forget you but I can’t
Hating you is too hard, it’s too hard
I’m upset that you don’t even know
I’m officially missing you
Officially missing you

Yeah I’m officially missing you, too
The reason why I couldn’t say anything
Is because the absence was too long
You’re more meaningful than any word
On another round
We’re getting farther away
This awkward day is flowing by
It makes me to sad and I remain as I was yesterday
Even if this night passes, I’m still here
Because of you, who is still in my head
Every night I toss and turn and my heart grows exhausted
The street lights shine on the streets
I empty my shaking insides in the toilet
But no matter how much I empty myself
I get drunk with the remaining memories and I get dizzy
GIrl, I still need a place to lean on
So I will wash you out with this song

I miss you like a habit
Your pictures smile at me
I look at them and smile and think
Will I ever be able to do it like back then?

To me, it’s only you
I’m hurting because of you
I try to forget you but I can’t
Hating you would be doing bad to you in my memories
So I can’t do it
I miss you so like this
Do you know?

To me, it’s only you
I am hurting because of you
I try to forget you but I can’t

What was the role of the POW camps and what treatment was received by the prisoners and what did the prisoners do in the camps? During World War II over 140,000 prisoners were kept in Japanese’s camps. These camps took away the prisoners clothes, food and anything they have been carrying through-out the war. The prisoners who lived in these camps were contained by guards, the guards were cruel and abusive mentally and physically. These type of camps were often kept as a secret to the rest of the world. Prisoners were given jobs to do during the day to keep the busy and at the end of the day the lack of protein provided in the food is unreal. In the book Unbroken Louie was kept in one of these awful camps under strict rules made by “The Bird.” “The Bird” whose real name is Mustsohio Watanabe was in charge of everything and everyone in the POW camp.…

    Jesus Camp

Jesus Camp is a documentary film about Christian families and their journey through life with their Evangelical Christian beliefs. The main portion of the film is about children within the Evangelical faith and their time spent at a summer bible camp. An evangelical Christian is a person who is called to share the good news, to preach God's Word, and to set an example of purity and honesty. Even if these movements require political action. They seem to be very strict in their beliefs. If God would not approve of what they are doing then they should not be doing it. Harry Potter, for example, is spoken of in Jesus Camp. Becky Fisher, one of the children’s camp counselor’s, calls Harry Potter a warlock. She announces to the children that “warlocks are enemies of God and you do not make heroes out or warlocks.” Their world view is good versus evil; God is good and Harry Potter is evil. This group of people works to make sure they do not abandon the most important calling which is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.…

Jesus Camp is a documentary about the beliefs and rituals of the Evangelistic people all around America. Many people believe that these Evangelists are taking Christianity to a whole new level. In the movie, parents raise their kids to believe that being Christian is the only right thing. You are either a believer in God or not. In the documentary, the directors, Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady show how Evangelists have shifted far right and away from the ideals and principles of Christianity, through emotional imagery, religious anecdotes, and rhetorical appeals.…

Officers in the field lived much better than enlisted men. They generally assigned one or two officers to a tent. Since they provided their own personal gear, items varied greatly and reflected individual taste. Each junior officer was allowed one trunk of personal belongings that was carried in one of the baggage wagons. Higher-ranking officers were allowed more baggage. Unlike infantrymen, who slept and sat on whatever nature provided, officers sometimes had the luxury of furniture.…

I have been to many basketball camps since I have entered high school. After a couple of years they become routine for players. I got my first opportunity this summer to go to a football camp at CHadron University which I figured couldn’t be too much different than a basketball camp. I figured you played a few games, went to bed, woke up sore and repeat the process like in basketball. I found out that there are actually a lot of differences between basketball and football camps then people would think.…

Camp Young Judaea is home, it is a community that has embraced me since I was a young child. Every summer I attend this amazing place and take in the entire camp experience, the good and the bad. Camp is where I grew up and learned many things, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it. The people that I have gone to camp with are some of my best friends, and the counselors are always there for us. The activities are always fun, and whenever we start cheering, singing, or just plain shouting, we become a close community.…

The second section of Jesus Camp gets a lot more dramatic and hard to watch. It begins with all the kids on their way to the church camp. The camp is lead by Becky Fisher who is in my mind a complete psycho. At the camp, Fischer stresses the need for children to purify themselves in order to be part of the "army of God". She strongly believes that children need to be in the forefront of turning America toward conservative Christian values and way. She also feels that Christians need to focus on training kids since the Devil are focused on training theirs. The sermons that Becky gives at this church camp are about how the Devil uses tactics to tempt young boys and girls into sin. She uses the lion as a visual metaphor for sin, and tells everyone that the “devil goes after the young.”…

For my observation I chose to survey a few students that attend after school/day care at YMCA Elmonte. YMCA elmonte has guidelines for volunteers and requires A background check for non staff. I was not able to get full access to the YMCA as a volunteer due too time constraints for this first observation, but should be processed in time for observation number two for older aged adolescents. I choose to pay attention to age groups 4-5 years old for my first study as grounds for learning about Social Cognitive Theory. This age group is very high energy yet, not very logical in their decision making abilities. The city of Elmonte has a very high population of Latino and White children. The social demographic of this area has a lot of young…

“It is no wonder, with that kind of intense training and discipline, that those young people are ready to kill themselves for the cause of Islam. I want to see young people who are as committed to the cause of Jesus Christ as the young people are to the cause of Islam. I want to see them as radically laying down their lives for the gospel as they are over in Pakistan and Israel and Palestine and all those different places, you know, because we have… excuse me, but we have the truth!” says Becky Fisher, a camp director, at the annual youth on fire camp for Evangelical children.…
