How Was Albert Goering A Hero To The Holocaust?
Life before WW2: Albert Goering was a hero to the Holocaust, freeing several Jews using his wealth but was left unknown for decades. Albert Goering (brother to infamous Nazi S.S Officer Hermann Goering) was born on March 9th, 1895 in the Berlin suburb of Friedenau. Albert was the fifth child of the German South-West African Reichskommissar, Heinrich Ernst Göring and his wife Franziska Tiefenbrunn. Goring and his Family lived in their aristocratic godfather, Von Epenstein’s (Who was of Jewish Heritage) Mauterndorf Castle. Not long after Albert’s birth his mother, Franziska and Epenstein had an affair. Due to the affair a rumor spread that Albert was actually the son to Epenstein, which made him half-Jewish. Thought that may have been unlikely due to the fact that Franziska left with her husband to his post in Port-au-Prince in Haiti.
