How To Write A Collateral Interview Paper
A collateral interview was conducted with Mr. Hector Class maternal grandfather. Mr. Class reported that his daughter has never had any mental health issues.

Mr. Class reported that he is still marriage to his daughter’s mother. He indicated that they see their daughter and grandchildren two to three times a week. The grandfather reported that he and his wife help care for the children after school, he stated that the days depends on his daughter’s work schedule. He indicated that his daughter picks the children up around 6 p.m. he stated that she does the homework with the children when they go home.

Class indicated that he has no concerns regarding the parenting ability of his daughter. The grandfather reported that he does not know the mother’s disciplinary patterns. He indicated that he has never witnessed her use a belt and have not heard the children mention it. Mr. Class reported that it he ever observed “his daughter using a belt on the children” he would correct it right away.

The grandfather stated that he has known Mr. Sanchez-Martinez since he was a child. He indicated that he and the dad’s father were coaches together. He indicated that they became pregnant while dating. Mr. Class stated that originally Mr. Sanchez-Martinez was against the pregnancy and denied it however, after the court mandated a paternity test, he then did not want contact with the children. However, they ended up working on the relationship. He indicated that the father moved in with the mother and they seemed to be making it work.

The grandfather indicated that the mother reported concern regarding the father’s inability to maintain a job. She reported that he developed a drinking habit, he was drinking regularly. Mr. Class stated that his daughter reported that he drink to the point that he became intoxicated. He stated that she never reported drug use.
