College can be exciting and replenishing; however, it can be a stressful thing too because firstyear college students don’t know where to start. Don’t worry they are not alone, the people that have been to college or are still in college have been in their shoes before. There are so many things that they need to do, for example: figuring out what classes they need to take; finding cheap books; and figuring out the location of the school buildings. It can be a stressful thing because they don’t know how to start or where to go for help.Here is some advice to help them get an idea of what they need to do to become a successful college student. Picking classes can be a hard thing because either they don’t know what to do with their career or they have an idea with their career; however, they don't know what classes they need to take. Once a student figures out what they want to major in, they can make an appointment with the academic advisors. Making an appointment with an academic advisor can give the students some ideas of what they need to do. Once the advisor knows what the student wants, the academic advisor will recommend the students of what classes they should take in order to be on the right path towards their career. If some students don’t know what they wanted to do in life, then there is also an Undecided advisors that can help them pick a career that suits them.
Don’t be intimidated of making an appointment with the academic advisor, they are here to help the students go into the right path, and give them an advice of what they should prepare for their career. Once the students figure out their classes, now they need to figure out what books they need to buy for each of their classes.
Usually, to find out what books the students needed to buy are usually on their school’s website.
