At a young age some of us are introduced to the innocence of a crush. The fluttering sensation of butterflies in the pit of ones stomach. The awareness of the sheer joy that being near said 'person of interest'. In addition to this experience, some can also relate in their fair share of embarrassing encounters with their crushes. In particular my mind drifts to a memory that sticks out like a sore thumb, one found in my years in middle school. My crush was very obvious, even I was slightly aware of such. I was beginning to predict that he in particular also knew I had my eyes on him. Although I had ensured rejection as the baseline for where my expectation…
The theory also suggests that we may associate a person with positive feelings due to the even in which they meet; this is called classical conditioning. This form of conditioning involves pairing a neutral stimulus with an unconditioned stimulus to create a conditioned response, for example being at a party (NS) and feeling happy (UCR), then meeting a person (UCS) and associating this stimuli (now CS)with the happy feelings to create a CR of happiness whenever in their presence and we want to be with the person that makes us most happy, thus forming a relationship.…

We've all been there, right? (Or we can imagine it.) Your crush finally agrees to go out with you, and somehow everything is different. The whole world seems to disappear, and it's just the two of you prancing through fields and ignoring the imminent destruction of the universe. Or the stairs.…
The best way to build up familiarity is to have frequent encounters with people. For example, in my night class I spend three hours with my teacher once a week alongside 150 other students. My teacher never gets an understanding or sense of who is in his class. Therefore, I attempt to go into his office every Tuesday to talk about class work, upcoming tests, etc. Although I only spend 15-20 minutes in his office, the one on one time I spend with him allows us a sense of familiarity with each other, a sense of comfort, and a history outside the classroom. The repeated one on one time with my teacher helps build a sense of liking from a persuasion standpoint.…

We started dating our freshmen year, and I have to agree that he was my first "true love." We spent every waking moment together, and when we weren 't physically together, we were on the phone. Some nights we only got one or two hours of sleep because we were on the phone so late. It was a perfect budding relationship. Nothing was going to go wrong; we had our entire lives planned out. We didn 't have a care in the world.…
There are six ways to make people like you: become interested in other people, smile and smile some more, remember a person’s name, be a good active listener, talk about other person’s interests, make other people feel important. The two most important principles you must always follow is smiling and being a good listener. When you smile you can brighten anybody’s day. It is always a great body language to express friendliness because a smile means “I’m happy” or “I’m interested”. Listening ironically makes you a great conversationalist. Why you may ask? Well a person most of the time just wants somebody to talk to whatever they want to talk about. The main thing to keep in mind is to know that the person’s self-importance.…

Whenever one watches television, the impression one usually receives is that popular people are always the ones who are beautiful or wealthy. Yet, my experience has told me otherwise.
