How reading has impacted my life. My life is kinda crazy. When I was little we moved a lot so in the car during long trips I would read Toad and Frog or Curious George. I never hate long car rides because I always had a book to read.
In fourth grade i was put into class that helped me read because when we moved I would keep behind and not understand what the class was learning. I was in that class for maybe two month because I learn very easily well beside spelling.
When I was in 8th grade I read The Outsiders and I fell in love with that book. After I read that book I when to my teacher to see if she had an other S.E. Hinton’s books and she did. I was so happy because I love the she writes. That same year I dressed up like a girl greaser.
When I was a Freshman I was in a music class and we had to do a essay on someone who change the history of music and I got Elvis Presley and it was so fun learning about him.

I had to write done question to go and ask people. I was not sure if I was doing it right but in my heart I know I was doing great. I was a day before it was due and I start to get stressed about it because I need to get b-roll and do my voice overs. In Broadcasting you write down what you are going to say in your voice overs and I did not know that so i just winged it. I felt for my first story it was amazing. So now when I do my voice over I do not write my voice over first. I love to see how I improve each year. I did a story over the new tennis courts which aired on Sept 30 Of this year on KFOI Weekly New. When we have to get stuff ready for any type of game we have to write an outline of what we will do like the camera number and when the anchors talk. It also help give the anchors a list of news around the school to say when there is dead

Not only did he improve with his reading, but also I saw his confidence increase after each cycle.…

While writing this literacy narrative I felt confident that I would be able to complete the task as a book has very well effected my life. However, I did have some trouble starting the essay, which in every essay I have similar issues with, but once I get the hang of things I immediately adjust to the flow and keep writing. Deciding on the book that affected me the most was difficult to choose, as I had so many. Eventually I decided to write about the first time I became fully engulfed in a book. Choosing the novel Animal Farm was the perfect novel to chose as it is my favorite and most inspiring novel I ever read. The only thing I worried about, was that when writing this essay, I didn’t want to spoil the novel for whom ever reads my essay.…

I remember every time I found out Mike Lupica published a new book I rushed over to my dad yelling and screaming until we went and bought a new book. I still till this day read books like his, my favorite one of his books is a recent book he wrote named “The Underdogs”. My overall two favorite novels I absolutely love to read are Gym Candy by Carl Deuker and Knights of the Hill Country by Tim Sharp. I don't remember specifics on how I learned to read, but I do remember learning how to read at an early age. My mother was an elementary school teacher and spent a lot of time working with me on my letters and sounds. I remember doing a lot of flashcards with my mom on the different letters and phonemes. I also remember my mom reading to me a lot, especially at night. I would sit in her lap and follow along as she read. As I became a better reader my mom would stop at different words and let me read. I always enjoyed reading with my mom and was excited when I could actually read the words with her.…

I had my English class as the first class of the day. The teacher wanted to encourage us to read again because she noticed that many of no longer enjoyed reading. She gave us the first ten to fifteen minutes of each class to read. She didn’t care what we read as long as we were reading something. At first I was happy about the idea simply because that meant we didn’t have to spend as much time talking about writing or looking at the assigned novels we had to read.…
