How Does The Government Change In Animal Farm
Government change has less to do with corruption as it does with the needs of certain people. Animal Farm is a story about a farm full of animals. To begin, the animals rebel against the farmer, Jones, and start their own self sufficient farm. As the farm continues to be self sufficient a leader takes control, he changes the way the farm is run. Finally, the story concludes when the leader turns to the humans and begins to act similar to them. In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, Orwell reveals how a government is always changing to meet specific needs of the society.
Animal Farm begins with the pigs as leaders trying to make the farm a communist society. In the story it says, “There was no wastage whatever… And not an animal on the farm had stolen so much as a mouthful” (36). The food on the farm is distributed evenly among the animals and everyone does their job to better the farm. The pigs choose to run the government on the farm similar to a communist society, the animals share the rations and are treated equal to every other animal on the farm. Above all, the needs of the farm were satisfied by this society and everyone benefitted from it.
