In William Shakespeare's Macbeth multiple themes are present. The exploration of the many subjects that link human nature, are represented by themes within the play. Shakespeare explores the many ways humans interact through relationships as well as their attitudes towards each other. Theses interactions create the main ideas that make up the play, such as power, love, friendship, loyalty and ambition. The main relationship explored is between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth and how their attitudes and interactions push each other to act in certain ways.

Basically their ambitions lead them to their own deaths. When Macbeth initially finds out of the potential power he could possess he already begins to thing and have "horrible imaginings [of a] murder yet [that] is but fantastical"(1.3.137-138) the same happens when Lady Macbeth discovers of the promise that would grant both Macbeth and herself a fantastical life. This ambition continued to grow stronger for both characters as well as other characters, but the main focus is based within Macbeth as well as Lady Macbeth. Because Macbeth is a ambitious character, even without being told, he immediately thinks of murdering the king.It is clear Macbeth is an ambitious and greedy character because Macbeth wants to still become king after being the nations greatest warrior and the Thane of Cawdor. .At this point where he is called "Thee thane of Cawdor" he carries his ambitions forward and even imposes them upon his wife. He mentions himself that the only thing causing him to act is his ambitions, when he says "To prick the sides of my intent, but only Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself And falls on th' other(1.7.25-27)Macbeth's ambitions play a big role to why he ends up murdering King Duncan, but before he can even act his morals and loyalty come in the way of his
