How Did World War 1 Impact My Life
World War I had a great impact in my life. Ever since my dad went to the military my mom started working in the factory, so that she can support my family. My mom goes to town every day and sees the new type of vehicle called the buggy. She wants to buy it someday when we have saved enough money. Since my mom had to go to the factory to work, I had to take care of my younger sister. I have to get her ready for school every day along with myself. Sometimes my sister annoys me before my mom comes home from work. Since we don’t have a market nearby and not much money we planted a few varieties of vegetable plants so that we don’t need to buy very often. In our school the Boy Scout program started. Most of the boys in our class didn’t join it because they don’t know what it’s about, since no one explained anything about it, but I gave it a try and am enjoying it a lot. Many things in this war helped my family. The Scout Programs started becoming popular in schools. This developed patriotism and financial awareness in the students. The boy scouts had to make banners to help raise money for wars. World War I was a great impact in women’s suffrage.
