How Did Tom Clancy Become Successful
Tom Clancy: More Than A Marine “Being a Marine is difficult, but becoming one is harder”(Clancy 1). Tom Clancy, marine, novel writer ,and video game developer, had a very difficult life as a child. He had a hard time fitting in with the other kids, at his private school. He always worked hard and, finished his work to help him to become the successful person he was. Tom Clancy struggled early in his life, but his experience with the marines helped him to become successful. Tom Clancy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 12, 1947.(Biography Publishers) He went to a Catholic school for all boys in Towson, Maryland.(Biography Publishers) After he graduated, he went to Loyola College where he studied literature.(Biography Publishers) Tom Clancy worked for a while as an insurance broker …show more content…
After all his books were published (Tom Clancy). The novels would be required to read in the academies (Tom Clancy). His writings helped the United States of America with his books with the government and mainly the military (Tom Clancy). Many people have offered friendship with Tom Clancy for material (Tom Clancy). After all of Tom Clancy’s studies, he made nine books that are now permitted for all United States military academies (Tom Clancy). After the marines Tom Clancy went back to the insurance broking and was going to team up with the Minnesota Vikings to boost the insurance business (Tom Clancy). Because of the date of the meeting he could not make the deal because of a divorce date so he lost his company to the Minnesota Vikings and divorced his wife (Tom Clancy). But was not all that bad for Tom Clancy, he married freelance journalist Alexandra Marie Llewellyn (Tom Clancy).
