The Ring of Fire is a continuous fracture in the Earth's crust, that circles the Pacific Ocean. The Tohoku Tsunami was caused by part of the Ring of Fire falling.The Earthquake preceding the Tsunami caused horrible effects, tearing apart roads, destroying houses,and even causing liquefaction.It even caused the Earth to rotate slightly faster, making a day(referring to a period of 24 hours) a second shorter.The Tsunami displaced a massive amount of water, causing it to travel at speeds equal to an Aeroplane.It had a horrible impact, destroying even more buildings,and had a massive death toll of 16,000
