How Did The Temple Guard Led Jesus?

“Think not that I can pray to my Father, and that he would not send to me

more than twelve legions of angels?”

“I have spoken openly in the synagogue and in the temple, and in secret I have said nothing.”

“Why dost thou ask me? Ask them that heard me, what I have said to them. Behold, they know what I said.”

And when he had spoken thus, the Chief of the Temple Guard struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying,

“Dost thou answer the high priest in this way?”

Jesus answered him,

“If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil.

But, if I have spoken well, why dost thou smite me?
