How Did The President Wilson's Contribution To The Economic System Of The United States?
In The United States there were a lot of problems among marketers, economics. In order to help them, he decreased the income taxes and Woodrow gave them materials to go into a big business, and said words about free market. It is obvious that, he gave these opportunities in order to improve economical system of The United States. Moreover, the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Trade Commission were established a new system with the aim of supporting banking and finance. The underwood Tariff Act changed tariffs on imported goods for the first time in 40 years, which improved foreign trade. He promised to work for them, he said that he would do their right equal with white Americans. But, southern democrats make him to forget about his speech by favoring segregation. People understand his action nowadays, they say that “he was southerner, who was born in that condition which made him to come up with an idea of segregating African Americans”. In 1914 well known William Monroe Trotter delivered a stinging protest towards Wilson concerning segregation in federal bureaucracy. However, Woodrow reneged on his promise and created a policy of racial segregation in both the Department of the Treasury and the Post Office Department. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) sent a letter of protest to Wilson, but their efforts were ignored. William Trotter gathered Afro Americans and went to the White House to protest President Wilson’s actions. Trotter’s attitude in that situation was bad, with higher tone.
