Not Only Changing Hollywood, Changing the World
Almost every movie one watches nowadays contains a female character. Now, look at that female. Majority of the time, she has some kind of sexual appeal to her. That sexual appeal was make big by Marilyn Monroe. Known as one of the most photographed, most famous, and most misunderstood Hollywood actress of all time, Monroe changed Hollywood and set the bar high for the upcoming actresses. Marilyn Monroe not only changed Hollywood, but also changed the world through her acting, constant determination, and female strength.
Marilyn Monroe changed the world through her acting. Her first movie, The Asphalt Jungle, was not very successful but her movie All About Eve, was in the top movies of that year (“Marilyn Monroe”).When she appeared in the movie, Niagara, her image as a sex symbol started emerging. On the set her movies, she made many friends including her close friend, Jane Russel, who starred in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, with Marilyn (“Marilyn Monroe”). She was nominated for two Golden Globe awards, taking home one. She was also nominated for two British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.
