How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Influence Michelangelo
I choose to do my Alternative Assessment on Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti and Raffaello Sanzio. The Italian Renaissance time period was huge for artists because of the magnificent art work that was created. Some famous art pieces made by these three artists have to do with a religious theme from the bible and they recreate it using their artistic ability. The life of Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael and their art works were really popular in the Renaissance because they all had a very unique way of painting and sculpting.

The man sitting on the front steps leaning of a cube of marble is depicted to be Michelangelo di Ludovico Buonarroti because he loved to make sculptures of marble. If you look in the center of his painting the man to the left with the red robe on is meant to be Leonardo da Vinci. The person to Leonardo’s right with the blue robe on is meant to be Aristotle. If you really at look Leonardo and Aristotle’s hands they are saying something. Leonardo’s hand is pointing upwards to the Heavens. Aristotle has his right hand casting saying let there be positive spirit (Euro Travelogue). What really doesn’t work for this painting would be the red box in the front of the painting because the other side doesn’t have it and it would look better if it had it on both sides. This art work really inspires me because it is telling me to follow my role models and find what is interesting about them and paint a picture myself to depict what they stand for such as their careers like Raphael
