How Did Harry Truman Influence The World
Our past president was not just someone who led us in a dark time. Harry Truman was one of the most bold men who has ever served our country. Through the events he was put through along with his fellow americans, he showed that he was an amazing leader to represent our country. Although being viewed negatively, Harry Truman has made an outstanding impact as the 33rd president of the United States and is still one of the biggest heroes in American history.

The bombings on Japan are the most controversial topics anyone can talk about when it comes to any president's decisions. On August 6th, 1945 an atomic bomb was dropped on Japanese military base Hiroshima as a way to force Japan's surrender, have revenge on them for the bombings of Pearl Harbour, and show the United States dominance against the world. In some cases, he has said that he was motivated just by revenge. This was the first atomic bomb ever used in global warfare. Not already devastated, Japan received more destruction when 3 days later, another bomb was dropped on Nagasaki which was the final stage of World War 2. Army generals and past presidents have all thought of another strategy to try and redo the event in a better way. However, almost any survey that you can find will show you that most citizens supported or were neutral on the fact that the bombs were what was needed to end the war.
