George William Frederick, later known as King George III, was the third monarch of the Hanover Dynasty, German Protestant rulers who controlled the Duchy of Brunswick- Luneburg, the Kingdom of Hanover and the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Kingdom of Ireland (George). George William Frederick was born prematurely on June 4, 1738 to the Prince of Wales and was not expected to survive to adulthood. At a young age George was educated by private tutors in English, German, and French. As a child George was cared for in strict isolation at the request of his mother which hindered the development of his interpersonal skills causing George to struggle in the social aspects of his life (History). The Seven Years war was a global conflict fought between 1756 and 1763 involving all European powers and considered by many historians to be the first world war. The war started as a border skirmish between the British and French North colonies in the North American colonies. The conflict divided the European continent in half, Great Britain, Prussia, Portugal, Hanover, and other small German states on one side and France, the Hapsburg Empire (Holy Roman Empire), the Russian Empire, Bourbon Spain, and Sweden on the other. The conflict originated in the North American continent when both the British colonies and French colonies had claims to the Ohio River Valley and during peaceful negotiations the French ambassador was killed by a member of the british party headed by George Washington. George III worked to end to Seven Years’ War by taking a position that forced his influential war minister William Pitt the Elder, who wanted to broaden the conflict, to resign. The war ended in 1763 leaving England with massive territorial gains and military superiority along with massive debt. George III then appointed Jon Stuart as his prime minister, the first in a quick succession of five ineffective ministers. In 1764 George III then appointed George Grenville to replace Jon Stuart as prime minister. Greenville to deal with the massive debts attained as a result of the seven years war introduced a series of acts to tax the colonists as a means of raising revenue in British
