How Did British Imperialism Affect India
British Imperialism affected India in a negative way. Formerly, Indians had pretty good life conditions. Before the British began to push their way into India, religious beliefs were intact and practiced regularly. Life was based upon the strict caste system and marriages were huge deals and came with big celebrations. Indians lived a relatively normal life with little violence. Not much had to be worried about. Although survival was taken care of, the country was underdeveloped. There was almost no means of communication or transportation and profits came from cash crops.
