The Revolutionary war was a series of battle between the British and the Americans. The British had a much larger army than the Americans. The Continental Army, which is the army that is fighting for america, consisted of only some of the Americans. Loyalists were those in the colonies that wanted to remain loyal to the British King, the loyalists refused to fight with the other colonists. The French became allies with the Americans because they wanted revenge for the Seven Years War. The question everyone asks is how did America win the war? The Colonist had very leaderful leaders. The British leaders decided to have a plan where they would seize the Hudson River and cut off New England from the rest of the colonies. They would do this with a three-pronged attack. This strategy did not work because the leaders did not take into consideration that there will be battles along the way and supplies will be lost along with soldiers. The American leaders knew to take battles into consideration so they developed their plan around battles. They would retreat from battles so they can work their way up the appalachian Mountains to attack down hill. This was excellent leadership at work. Their excellent leadership definitely won the war for the Colonists.
“ How could the Colonist win the war?” That question is now answered. The Colonists won the war for our freedom today and established our entire country. Now when you think about America thank the Colonists for winning the American Revolution with the advantages of leadership, knowledge of the land, foreign aid , and most of all motivation. Their motivation set the path for the rest of eternity on Earth. The Colonists made America who we are
