How Did Abraham Lincoln Change The World
Do you know who Abraham Lincoln is, and what he did to change the world for the people? If you don’t, then let me start all from the beginning. A boy named Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in Hodgenville, Kentucky. At the age of seven, his family moved to Indiana, and he grew up on the edge of a frontier. He had very little education, but he read a great deal and self-taught himself when he wasn’t working on his father’s farm. Let me introduce his family, Nancy and Thomas were Abraham parents and he had two siblings named, Thomas and Sarah Lincoln. In 1818, Abraham's mom passed away with milk sickness, at the age of 34. At the age of 33, Abraham Lincoln got married to his beloved wife Mary Todd Lincoln on November 4, 1842. One year later Mary gave birth to their first child, Robert Todd Lincoln, on August 1, 1843. After couple years, his wife gave birth to three more kids named, Edward, William, and Thomas. …show more content…
On November 6, 1860, at the age of 51, Abraham Lincoln was elected for president. According to historical president Abraham lincoln was one of the best presidents the this nation had had. One of the most important traits of Abraham lincoln is Being Purpose - Driven, he wanted to preserve the union of states over everything else. My second trait is Honest because the critics couldn’t ever find evidence He was abroad thinker against him. My third trait of Abraham Lincoln is that he was a Problem Solver because he never was biased and was able to obtain facts and look problems objectively. My fourth trait of him is Courageous because he always stood for what is right, even when he had the half of the country against him. My last trait is Respectful because He spent so much time visiting the battlefields and conversing with people who wanted to meet
