Some Muslim groups have protested, saying it has portrayed Muslims poorly and thus "hurt their sentiments."(D'Souza). This was seen in India a country with an enormous population having such different ideals from the united states when it comes to movie making, Dilip also brings up the fact that many of the people involved with these protests were Christian groups. Although, many countries such as India have extremely strict restrictions on films which are put in place through the CBFC (Central board of Film Certification), another country that has strict censorship in film is china. Consistently these countries are known to be strict due to their laws and so people would imagine that their film censorship would also be extremely strict, considering this is true. “’In the past 20 years, every China director faced a great torment, and that torment is (censored)," Feng said, according to an Internet broadcast in which his use of the word "censorship" was bleeped out.” (MacLeod,11). This shows that china does indeed censor their directors more then in other countries, by going as far to censor the word censorship from being said in an interview to make sure people didn’t hear that they censored their own movie
