How Badly Do You Want To Be Successful?
How badly do you want to be successful? It’s a pretty simple question isn’t it, and I’m sure you and everyone else who has ever been asked would say; very badly or that they would do anything to be successful. But would they really? See everyone wants to be successful but no one wants to work for it. We see successful people and think to our selves “Oh if they can do it why can’t I?” That is very true, its not like successful people have two heads or special powers but they do understand the fundamentals behind achieving success; without faith, consistency, and hard-work success in anything you do or touch is inconceivable. I do believe that everyone has faith in something whether it’s God, the Koran, the New York Knicks, their country, or whatever it maybe. But most people don’t have faith in the most important thing, which is the person they see when they look in the mirror. I went to Greenwich High School for my freshman and sophomore years of high school. My freshman year wasn’t the best; I was easily distracted, didn’t go for class, always partying, and my grades were appalling. One day my housemaster called me to her office for a meeting. I won’t lie too you I cannot remember her name but to this day I will never forget what she said to me. She told me that “If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me” these two letter ten words forever changed my life. It was as if I had been sleeping all my life and hearing this phrase woke me up; yes it was that serious. I left school that day with a new perspective on life and a newfound belief in myself. If you do not have faith in yourself then how do you expect to succeed in anything you do? For example let us say you have faith in God but you don’t have in yourself. How can God help someone who does not even help them selves? Faith is the first step in success.
