Hospitality Assessment - Persuasive Essay

Dear Hotel Manager,

As we all know about global warming and how the ozone layer is cracking open but what many people don't know is that since 1950 90% of global warming has been caused by human factors, we are to blame.The reason I am writing this letter is to persuade you to adopt an environmental management program in your hotel to help prevent or at least slowdown the effects of global warming for ourselves and as well for the future civilisation. We can do it. I will go in detail on seven different points on how we can reduce the effects of global warming, these steps are;
-->Saving Energy
-->Saving Water
-->Purchasing Decisions
-->Waste Management
-->An economic hotel design
-->Transport
-->Paper
With these points your hotel can start this fight we are having against global warming. I strongly believe you should agree to help reduce the effects of global warming because for one it will help our future generation but for you and your hotel it will lead to a good reputation for the hotel which will lead to more customers/clients and by conducting what I will say in the next seven points can save you money as well. So right now I want to ask you why not? you must consider an environmental management program, it is a win win situation.

Energy, we all use it and its crucial in the hotel business but you can do some simple steps to save energy and and money. I will start with electricity reduction, to reduce electricity you can have keys for the lights and air conditioning to use when patrons want or need them. Start a policy, to turn off any power for machines, televisions or screens that are not in use or during after hours by having timers will be a good way to control an overuse of energy used within the hotel. Have you considered solar panels for your hotel? Yes they are expensive but it will save you money in the long run and give you the power you need to run your hotel. You could use solar heating

However, we can not establish a cause and effect relations, because the atmosphere does not react so quickly. During the decade of the 80 's started to be clear that had begun a warmer period, so that the discussion moved towards global warming that would lead us soon to a planet unbearable in which the oceans would boil. The taste for the catastrophic end seems endless. But today they not exaggerate so much about the subject.
