Honors English Essay
Why? Why are you in that? Why are you in Honors English? Having been asked this question a lot, I have had a lot of time to contemplate my answer and to put forth my answer. I am in Honors English to become a better person. I want to grow as an English scholar and to reach my full potential because I know that I can always achieve more education and to start achieving the necessary expertise I need, I have to take one step at a time and a great starting place is in high level honors classes. Who pressured me or persuaded me to be in Honors? Mainly myself, but I do think my sister Cheyenne also had something to do with it as well. Between me and my sister we have always had a somewhat "friendly" competition among us, if she would do something I would to, she joined dance when she was three years old and I was in at 3 as well, she was in NJHS and so am I, and her and my other sister joined competitive dance when they were 13 and I joined when I was 10. I love to write stories all the time. Particularly just making little stories up and writing them down but I think that it is a very good way to relieve stress, relieve boredom, or just for fun! I remember one time when I wrote a little two page story and read it to my sisters telling them that my friend wrote it and that she wanted some critic, when I was the one that wanted the critic on MY story. They read it and said that is was more of just a rough draft and that it needed "a bit" of work. I was certainly not going to give up because I do love writing, I just need some advice and practice and that I hope to gain in Honors English! I want to really improve my writing skills not only for the fun of writing for myself but to improve for essays and projects in classes, resumes for jobs, and eventually great skills for college!
