Does height affect people’s ability to maintain homeostasis?
Hypothesis

However, due to the small age range of the sample set, there may be only a small discernable differences in heartbeats per minute between age groups.

My hypothesis is that, the taller the person, the more difficult time they will have in maintaining homeostasis. Because homeostasis relies on the transmission of signals between organs, these signals would have to travel further in a taller person compared to

The closer absolute value of this number is to 1, the more correlation exists between the factor you have chosen to examine and the heart rate data.
Go to http://www.danielsoper.com/statcalc/calculator.aspx?id=44 and enter the correlation coefficient along with the sample size of individuals used in your calculation. This will give you a probability of obtaining these results by chance (p-value). P values below 0.05 indicate a statistically significant result.
