So in the United states alone every war we have been involved in caused us the loss of money and not much of a gain. So what is the point, if a war has started and nations are just looking for a way out, because of the amount of money they lose. As stated by The Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs Costs of War Article “The current wars have been paid for almost entirely by borrowing...Unless the US immediately repays the money borrowed for war, there will also be future interest payments. We estimate that interest payments could total over $7.9 trillion by 2053.” Just imagine if the $7.9 trillion dollars a country spends on war could be used to rebuild an economy instead of tearing down one, that could help change people's lives for the better. Much of wars have gone over budget several millions, even billions of dollars, this is due to the fact that no war is settled overnight, nor very easily. According to The Atomic Bomb Museum the bombs dropped in Japan, Little Boy and Fat Man, were put on a budget of $2 million for research, in the end it exceeded another $1 million dollars making it the largest military budget the US has ever invested in (http://atomic bomb museum.org).
