Secretary of state Clinton is one of the most powerful women of her times. She is the only woman that has ever been considered a serious contender for the presidency. I truly believe that if she runs again, she could be the first woman president in the United States of America. Many people doubted Hillary’s abilities just because she was a woman but that never discouraged her. With strength, courage, confidence, and determination you can be anything you want to be. Though you may go through many obstacles before you get to the place you would like to be, you can get there eventually as long as you don’t give up. These are the core beliefs of Hillary Clinton. Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was, born in Chicago Illinois, on October 26, 1947. Her parents Hugh and Dorothy married in 1942. She lived in Chicago until she was three years old then her family moved to park Ridge, Illinois. Her father Hugh Rodham was the son of Welsh and English immigrants and ran a small business in the textile industry. Her mother Dorothy Howell was of many immigrant descents and was a homemaker. She had two younger brothers Hugh and Tony. In school Hillary participated in swimming, baseball and a variety of other sports. In middle school Hillary was a member of a girl scouts group. She competed on debate teams at her high school and her parents said that whenever anything about politics came up Hillary would have an opinion. Hillary also loved helping children and was involved in a youth program at her church. She enrolled to Wellesley College in 1965, her political view began to change and she joined the Democratic Party and campaigned for anti-war. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1969. Hillary immediately after is accepted to Yale Law School, where she met Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton became a lawyer and children’s rights advocate, in Massachusetts for a child’s defense fund.
