High Worth Project
In November 2006 Bank of America acquired US Trust; this was with the aspirations that Bank of America would get a stronger foothold to enhance their Private Banking portfolio, which serviced the ultra-wealthy. A part of this acquisition was to bring all of US Trust’s proprietary computer systems that manage client’s investments and trust account data into TrustWeb, which was Bank of America’s proprietary database. Bank of America had just made the decision to utilize TrustWeb because they had just made significant investments. They also considered the contracts and number of employees it would affect in the TrustWeb system, so they decided that they could merge two existing US Trust systems (PMW+ and AMS) into their own. However, TrustWeb lacked functionality that US Trust associates were accustomed to having, which helped them provide customer service to their clients. TrustWeb was in need of updates because multiple systems were necessary to complete the tasks US Trust could easily, but if these ‘gaps’ were not addressed there would be a lack of associate’s abilities to meet the level of customer service that US Trust clients became accustomed to over the years. The key players in TrustWeb were, Ken Lewis was CEO of Bank of America and Brian Moynihan, President of the Global Wealth Management segment. Next was the Transition Leadership Team (TLT) headed by Robert Sandberg, and Peter Santos was the change execution lead for the integration of all client facing tools, of which one was TrustWeb. Mike Morris was the PM; he had two direct reports who were more junior change analysts as well as a Tech Lead who was responsible for taking business requirements and turning them into functional systems. This was not in keeping with the way BOA ran projects, the higher the priority the more dollars and resources a PM was to have at their disposal, which didn’t happen in this particular case.
The project had some fundamental issues from the start of which the PM

The exquisiteness of the material and the sophistication of the carving indicate that it was created by the exclusive guild of royal ivory carvers for the king. This exquisite piece is made out of ivory, iron and cooper. This piece also contains pieces of inlaid metal and elaborate coral carvings. The piece dimensions are as followed; H. 9 3/8 x W. 5 x D. 3 1/4 in. (23.8 x 12.7 x 8.3 cm). The mask is a sensitive human idealized portrait, depicting its subject with softly modeled features. This piece is framed with an elegant tiara-like coiffure and openwork collar. The pupils were inlaid with iron metal, the forehead has carved scarification marks and also she is wearing bands of coral beads below the chin. In the necklace you can see miniature motifs that represent heads of the Portuguese soldiers depicted with beards and flowing hair. In the crown tiara-like coiffure are carved more Portuguese heads alternated with figures of stylized mudfish, which symbolizes Olokun, the Lord of the Great Waters. You can see that some of the necklace portion is damage or missing and this could be due to the age and fragility of the coral.…

Knowing what research approach is more appropriate than another with a particular research question or population of interest relies heavily upon the type of conclusion that can be drawn from the research. It is stated in the text that, “It is important to evaluate the needs and circumstances of your research project before selecting a design”. (Landrum, R. E. (2012). Having said this, it is inevitable that the researcher is aware of the many factors that go along with research such as, the number of independent variables that are being manipulated, the areas of learning and memory and many more. Therefore, “Often the research question you are interested in dictates the type of design used”. (Landrum, R. E. (2012 sec. 3.1).…

Based in the facts presented in this case, LeBlanc wanted to convert the trust division’s outdated information into a more efficient system through which they can keep the date organized and respond to client request more effectively on time, and also generate and send the monthly statements on time with more accurate reports. Though the clients are happy about the statements that they have been receiving, they are not happy about the turnaround time that it takes for them to receive the reports. Ultimately as we can see in this case, they is considerable level of resistance to automate the process and system as the employees feared about their job security. When Michael Walsh took over the responsibility, we have to note that two third of the $18million budget allocated for this conversion project already been spent.…

Before the beginning of the semester, I had put some thought about where to do my service learning community hours. I have previously been a resident of Pueblo Del Mar transitional housing program for families in recovery, and I had the wonderful experience of working in the community garden with Iris and Javier. I was so blessed by their presence and I remember looking forward to the time in the week when it was acceptable to get my hands dirty in the rich earthy soil. I thought it would be rewarding to return to Pueblo Del Mar, and to serve this community of fellow addicts in recovery. After much thought, I felt it would be more beneficial to consider other options and possibly choose a site that would push me beyond my comfort zone. For me college is about learning new things and Pueblo Del Mar is a very familiar and comfortable place for me.…
