Hierarchy and Separation
Hierarchy and Separation
In the Book of Genesis, God was the hierarchy and the humans remained sinners or separated from God. He punished his first creations for eating, he then flooded the earth to remove all evil and only his true followers survived. He was shown as a "bad" person throughout Genesis. Every one was to fear our great creator. Although, in essence, he was the superior being and his creations were the lower race. They were not to fear him, but to become closer to him and to see him as a superior being. The book of Genesis proved that in every chapter and in every verse. There was a separation of God (the master) and his creations (the followers), which were humans and all living things. Genesis was not to prove God as "good" or "bad" nor was it meant that his followers was to fear him but Genesis was to prove that God was a superior being over all living creations on Earth. He was proved as a creator of the universe, which made him superior over all other living things.
Throughout the text of Genesis, and especially evident in Chapter 3, there is a system which God has set up to indicate the proper relationships of his creations between each other and with him. An analysis of this reoccurring theme will help to establish that God 's intended system is a hierarchy in which there is an assigning of "followers" and "masters," with God having the final hierarchy. This motif was first introduced in chapter 1 of Genesis where God sees that his creations are "good," already establishing a higher standard for them. In the system that follows, the hierarchy is with God as the creator; then humans as followers to God.
The followers were put in charge of ruling all the "lesser creatures;" and all animals, which fed on the vegetation of the land. We see that the intention of the authors was not to promote a belief in equality or fear, but rather to show the principle of a highly organized structure separating those who serve and those who rule.

Firstly, within genesis 1:1 it sates ‘In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth.’ This clearly reveals God created the earth as an omnipotent power. As we read on God commands there to be light, he shapes the earth, and creates the animals and birds. The Bible explores the idea that God created everything and brought the earth into being. This can be depicted also in the Latin phrase ‘creatio ex nihilo’ meaning creation from nothing; exhibited within Genesis. Within the second Genesis we are told God created humans: Adam and Eve. This story links in with another quote depicting God as having a ‘strong right arm’ and as a ‘King.’ God is shown as a creator within this line as the aspects of God described are also human characteristics, an anthropomorphic statement. The fact that we have likeliness to God explains he created us such like father; a son bears likeliness to his father.…

In Genesis chapter one verse two God was here on the earth, He hovered over water in Eden. God also began the process of creation, and began creating the earth. Not only did He create the earth, but He created mankind and animals. In this chapter it speaks of man being made in God’s image which is so intriguing. God created everything, but mankind is the only thing He created to be like Him. God gave us the opportunity to be in His likeness. Not only is that an opportunity, but it is an honor to know that God cares so much about mankind that He wants them to be like Him.…

Then it tells us that God created man in His own image and gave him also a help mate and gave them dominion over all that He had created. The author tells us that God did all this in six days, and on the seventh day He rested and reviewed all His work and declared it to be good!…

All else, God declared into actuality, but with man He had taken on a more involved role, created him from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into him (Genesis 2:7 New Living Translation). Man was given rule over all earthy creation. Even though the last to be created, man is first of the earthly hierarchy. Above all, the only to be designed in His image. Being appointed to rule over creation, meant to take care of it as well, which included the animals (Genesis 1:28-31 New International Version).…

Within the Genesis account you can break down the group into two stories. The first written was a combination of the “Jehovist” and the “Elohist” writers that wrote between 950-850 B.C.E. This account is based upon an immanent god that created the world and humans by the word of mouth. In these writings God created man in the image of him and created mankind last. You can infer from this that God created man in order to succeed; he didn’t create them to serve him. God created mankind to his liking and created them in good favor. He loved mankind and treated them like his sons and daughters. This God gave mankind food, in the form of “plant yielding seed” and gave them “dominion over the fish of the sea”. He didn’t let mankind go hungry or make mankind angry. He fostered their growth because humans were his creation. In the second account from Genesis, the “Priestly” writer comes from a little bit later, around 550 B.C.E. This story from Genesis is almost an opposite of the first account. The Priestly author writes about God as being more of a transcendent god. This god creates the world and mankind and then leaves it alone. He has no continuation…

One of the major arguments for creationism, the theory that states that everything was created by a higher force, is that we as humans are so complex that someone, or something, must have created us. We couldn 't have evolved from simple bacteria, the first life form on Earth. We are too complex, they argue. And that higher force, who created us, is higher than us, like we are higher to the things that we as humans created. This higher force is referred to as "God" or "The Gods" in theocentrical cultures.…

Genesis 1:26, God said “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the bird of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animal of the earth, and over every creeps upon the earth.” I think this is the image of human dignity. We can simplify this by saying that we are smarter than other creatures in this earth. In my opinion from a person who doesn’t have any religion, I don’t believe in this. Because I always believe that human has been developing in a long way of evolution, and now I just learnt a new conception which is god created human. It is really interesting but still I don’t believe it. Maybe I am a person of science, and yet I can be wrong but for right now I am faithful with it. Like I said above, I don’t think god created human, therefore, we are not perfect beings. We are here right now in a good figure, but not totally perfect, because we have been developing through a long way of our evolution with many adaptions. It’s not just my thinking which is similar with Darwin’s theory, in fact, we are gaining more and more information about evolution by testing DNA of many species, and then we can discover important evidences about theory of evolution; therefore, in my opinion, the Darwin’s theory takes away our dignity. Back again to the idea which is human were created in God’s image, and we are granted rights which others don’t have. The question is why don’t we just destroy and kill everything in this world? The answer is we can’t because each species plays an essential role which keeps the earth balance. If the human really has likeness of God, we can control and fix everything, but the fact that we can’t. In truth, there are so many things that we haven’t leant about other species, what they can do. So from this view of point, I conclude that we are just alike other species and our…

    Feudal Hierarchy

Have you ever had an older or younger sibling who would try to bargain with you for stuff they yearned for with the other things you wanted? This concept is very similar to the Feudal Hierarchy and its protection. In each manor there were ranks and jobs that certain people had to follow in order to obtain what was necessary for survival at that time period. The people needed protection, while the landowners required defenses. In the Feudal Hierarchy there were 6 groups, Serfs, guildsman/craftsman, knights, vassals, lords, and monarchs. Serfs were poor farmers who worked the manor’s farmland in exchange for the safeguard they received. Guildsman were fundamentally similar to serfs because of their need of protection, however instead of farming they had a skill which produced a certain good for the manor. Knights and vassals were basically the same thing except vassals were successfully retired knights, and were given a manor from a lord or a king. Knights were specially trained soldiers who fight for a lord or vassal, and they were treated with the same respect as a lord. Vassals and knights both gave military services and loyalty in return for the land and protection they received. Lords were powerful noblemen and women that owned large tracts of land. However Lords on the other hand were very different from the other 4 jobs because what they needed was not protection but defenses to protect their land. The same situations applied to the monarchs of the country therefore in exchange for a lord’s loyalty and services to a monarch, lords were given land.…

In this case study Roger Cahill has been acting as the head of mobile division for less than a year. Currently he is struggling as he faces great difficulties adapting BoldFlash to a changing marketplace. The problem really started a year ago when Mr. Jim Harrison appointed the young Roger Cahill to a VP position. Although Roger has led a research project in his previous work, he is only 24 years old and inexperienced to manage a company at VP level. Positions at those levels require years of strategic leadership and management skills. Nevertheless in the last 12 months, the company focused primarily on the redundant production of customized chips without further research or product development in new and upcoming areas like the storage device. This negligence from both product development and marketing is a huge loss to the company as they missed out on the opportunity to launch new product line; therefore missed the opportunity to penetrate the potential market. Now the company has old products not priced competitively and struggling to penetrate the marketshare. Also the four groups within the division, product development, marketing, sales and manufacturing are constantly in conflict and don’t have the reinforcement from the leadership to work as a team. Although Cahill has observed the dysfunctions, he has not implemented any processes or trainings to work as a cross functional team. The company’s profit margins are low and Cahill has to take initiatives to suggest number of changes. With the staff that has low morale and lacking motivation, Cahill has to develop action plan for improvement. He has to define roles and propose organization change design to deliver an outcome necessary to be successful and generate higher profits.…
