Hi Omin Observation
Hi Omin,
I am happy that are making progress since starting this class. You have made an important observation about the use of double and single quotation marks. I would like to add that single quotation marks have not been a part of my writing for a while; in fact, I am not sure I even remember when to use them. Do you have a quick reference to share?

Thanks,

Throughout the semester, the Year Eight class have studied figurative language, Shakespeare, persuasive and narrative writing, as well as reviewing the role punctuation plays in ensuring clarity in writing. Chloe is a very friendly and capable student who has consistently produced work of a solid Year Eight standard. She can sometime allow herself to be distracted in class, this means that she often runs out of time to effectively edit her work. As a result of this she sometimes misses punctuation and grammatical errors that could have easily been corrected. In order to improve, Chloe will need to re-evaluate her use of class time to ensure that she leaves herself enough time to carefully edit all tasks before she submits them. I wish her all the best for next year.…

The court case I observed was the 2008 2L Moot Court Tournament at the Liberty University School of Law, Deborah White vs. Patrick Gibbs and O’Malley’s Tavern. The purpose of this court case was to determine whether or not it should be taken into a motion of summary judgement. The plaintiff in the case was Deborah White. White was represented by Amanda Babbitt and Jackson Walsh. The defendants in this case are Patrick Gibbs; and O’Malley’s Tavern. The representatives of the defendants were Benjamin Walton and Jordan Van Meter. Before summarizing the arguments of the plaintiff and the defendant, there will be a short summarization of the incident.…

Everything wasn’t going to be like it used to be! After the few short lessons we did have on punctuation and grammar thereafter my true insufficiency was put to the test. We had been assigned to write an essay on what we thought “begin with the end in mind” meant. Just as I had the same confidence in turning in papers in my tenth grade English class was what had followed me then, with the hopes of getting an “A” as…

If you compare the documentary proposal that I wrote at the beginning of marking period 5 to the documentary conclusion in the last marking period, you can tell how my strength in my own writing really improved (even though they were dealing with the same topic). I’m truly content with the work I put into this class and I hope that as this class continues through the years, many other students will feel just the same. I just want to end with thanking this class and more specifically thanking Mrs. Pfeifer for not only teaching us how to fix misplaced modifiers and add commas when necessary, but showing us how to be well rounded individuals while still keeping our unique…
