Hi Nyeesha Case Study
Hi Nyeesha,
It’s great that you mentioned having knowledge of your competitors’ business choices, quality of their exports, and price rates, as an optimal way for managers to determine which country would be good to export. Do you also agree that looking at the historical data of your competitors could be beneficial? I believe it is important to know how well your competitors have been doing financially on the countries they are exporting and also, how big the demand of the products they export have been in the past years.

Individual Analysis (pre-class)–Must be typedCase Review (3): 500,000 clients, 3 types. 25 branches. Broad range of services. Very competitive environment. Competition increases from technological advances/internet enabled foreign competitors. Scott employed for 20 years. Responsibilities are to develop departmental plans, set goals and deadlines, implement procedures to improve productivity and customer service and define the responsibilities of supervisory managers. Reports to the vice-president of admin. services, Geoff Marti. Main revenue is interest on capital it loans to clients. Nipissing pays interest on deposits but charges interest on all loans. Increases profits by increasing the spread, acquiring more and larger clients, selling more services to clients or reducing overhead. 2007 total clients decreased for first time. Mailing marketing complicated due to type of client. Needs better efficiency.Options (4): 1: Cost is $65000, plus $15750 a year. Same manual labour. Would make total process 26.05 seconds long. Is discontinued in 2012 and will deplete useful life in 2014. Option solution only temporary. In next few years, have to reassess same issue when machine used up. Gives time to investigate if cliental will increase or decrease. 2: Cost is $435000, plus $25000 a year. No added manual labour. Mailsorter value: $10000 to $15000. 30 days of downtime, all packaging processing must be done manually. Not large issue due to the long-term savings of not having added manual labour once installed. Will suit needs when cliental reaches 1 million clients. Can complete the process in approx. 52.1 seconds. Faster then old machine system including manual stuffing needed. Able to make sure client confidentiality is kept. Make sure the packages are nice, no tears or wrinkles. Will not have to reinvest for another 20 years. If number of clients increases there will be no additional costs. Successful due to…

I picked up a key from Dawn Carey last week. Dawn stated that they may still need to access their old space here and there because of the few remaining files that are still left there and plus I think they are planning to sending a cleaning crew to clean it up (if they haven't already done so) soon. That being said, I have one key that opens the front door.…

There are many aspects that need to be considered before making the business decision to expand globally. First, the organization should be confident and assured about its capability to handle the expansion plan in terms of products, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer service capabilities. The company should possess sufficient financial and other resources to support the expansion plan in an effective manner.…

The case of McGrath v. Shenendehowa Central School District began on May 3rd, 2005 when Theresa McGrath, a senior at Bethlehem High School, suffered a horrific knee injury playing a regular season, varsity lacrosse game at their opponent’s field in the Town of Clifton Park. From Theresa’s perspective, the injury occurred when she tried to perform a “roll dodge” move to avoid a defender. When she planted her left leg to perform the move, she claims that it got stuck in a soft, sand-like material used to patch the field and was the reason why her injury transpired. McGrath filed a complaint saying that Shenendehowa did not maintain a safe field and the use of the soft material created…

    Case Study Aleesha Case

In Aleesha’s case it was apparent that aside from needing policy changes to the hiring process along with policies that help military families, there are also other political factors that failed Aleesha. One which seems to be a large scale issue is the drug prevalence in Aleesha’s community. Since Aleesha’s drug use predominantly began in her neighborhood and later progressed when she moved in with her boyfriend, which happened to be in the same neighborhood, it brings up the question of the accessibility and drug use in this area. It seems that the high drug use perhaps could also have played a role in her involvement with drug distribution. The political factor at hand that affected Aleesha immensely was drugs, because due to drug use and…

The US Army is a unique organization providing protection to a nation. I agree with you about it being in the maturity stage for naturally, it has no competitors! So, all its resources are geared towards providing the best for the country. In matters of beuracracy, it is common knowledge that the Army is top-heavy and characterized by a lot of "red-tape" in its vast operations. Albeit, the Army is non-profit, its dependency on taxpayers is interesting since they are the major benefactors of military operations(not forgetting PMCs). I also compare the US Army with other armies to qualify its maturity stage. A good example is the Soviet Army which was at the height of its maturity during the Cold War and the its subsequent death…

Hi Yvette, I believe you have a great neighborhood community experience, your explanation of a community totally make sense to me. Indeed, a community needs trust, helping hand and a sense of security, otherwise many people will not be deciding to join a community. Besides the blood-related family, a community is pretty much like a second home for its members. Therefore, the members of a community are usually able to relate and communicate among themselves. Personally, I like those passionate/enthusiastic and positive members in a community because they make a community stays competitive, expanding and furtherance of the knowledge. Yvette, what is your suggestion for a newbie in a community? Do you think he/she should be actively offering help…
