In late 1990, the group of Amoco Corporation and Apache Corporation had begun talking regarding the possible acquisition of MW Petroleum from Amoco to Apache. MW Petroleum Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amoco Corporation which has its own reserves, management team and with full ownership in geologic and engineering data. John Francis Welch, Jr., also known as “Jack”, became the CEO of General Electric in 1981 and maintained this title for the next 20 years until his retirement in 2001. He was widely known as a “national business hero” because he had a different approach on management that provided increasing results. For this very reason, many also despised his tactics. He was very aggressive in cutting out the weak, because he believed that it was holding back the company. One of the main principles that General Electric emphasized was loyalty. After Welch took over, loyalty meant next to nothing. He led General Electric to become a highly profitable and successful firm, but a major question is how successful he was as a…

“In order for some people to be happy, sometimes they have to take risks. It’s true these dangers put them at risk of being hurt.” This was a quote from Meg Cabot in 2002. This quote fits well with motocross. Motocross is a way of life for most people that partake in it. Along with manmade obstacles, after a full day of racing the track will form deep ruts due to the dirt bikes tires, and large braking bumps that can very easily throw an inexperienced rider over the bars. All of this is can be competed by as any as 40 riders at a time, which can make for very exciting racing.…
