1. By the way that Henry Poole lived his childhood affected his life as his childhood at times was not pleasant, but that what he had to look forward.
2. That fact that he thought that he was going to die, I believe his whole life was change and he was not looking himself and his goal to a long term. That why he did not want to have a relationship with the girl next door.
