Helping Hands Research Paper
I am Ella Fass. I am running for the 2016 Helping Hands club president. I am looking forward to being the leader of this club. I am able to work out a schedule for the separate meetings for the officers, I will attend all meetings and be at any events. This is my second year in Helping Hands. With my one year experience I am aware of the areas we can improve upon. I do a lot of community service. It really is so much fun. I have many stories from me in the past good deed. Such as, a 911 memorial service, library volunteer work, and the dance captain for the Annie play at Brooks Hill this year. (I’d recommend seeing it)
Me winning this role will give the club such an advantage. I will make sure the club is fun for everyone. A smile is contagious.

As President of FBLA you must be a well rounded, organized, and motivated individual. You have to have interpersonal skills and you have to be confident while still being compassionate. Being given this opportunity is something that I do not take for granted, because I believe that I am meant to help others through this role. In the past our chapter has been a very stagnant chapter and I plan to change this. Currently we are planned to host our high school's first Thanksgiving canned food drive. We will be donating these goods to the people in need in our community. This Christmas, we plan to do a "giving tree" (combined with FCCLA) and then donate the clothing we receive. We are also going to do a Christmas basket project this winter. This…

Countless people are familiar with the term Samaritan, but the amount of people who comprehend the actual meaning of the word is scarce. The term ‘Good Samaritan’ derives from a parable told by Jesus Christ and is mentioned in the bible. In the story, the ‘Good Samaritan’ witnesses a “half dead man”, so he “[takes] pity on him”, and offers him bandages along with shelter (Luke 10:30-35). This parable is evidence that assisting strangers is existent from the beginning of human history, excluding the minority who choose not to aid a soul in need. In order to prevent this from happening, force must be used to help the victims of injury. The United States of America…

I am excited about the opportunity to represent the county and would enjoy traveling to other communities, meeting new people and sharing information about our county with others. I will project a positive attitude, make people feel comfortable when visiting with them and keep in mind to have a fun filled time and keep on smiling. I am not afraid to take on new challenges, as it is through the climb that we truly find out what our potential is. In the words of Bernice Johnson Reagon: “Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you; they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.” As I am getting older and meeting the challenges of growing older, I am finding out more about myself all the time. I have learned that I have determination and perseverance to accomplish more than I thought I could, I have patience and a soft heart for children and that I look forward to each day to be the best that I can be.…

I should be chosen for our school’s HOBY ambassador because I am the type of person who works hard for what I want and will do what it takes to achieve my goals. I am fourth in my class and have over a 4.0 grade point average. I am a person who challenges myself by putting myself in situations where I am forced to push myself and go outside of my comfort zone. I don’t think it’s right to limit yourself to what’s easy, because if you do, you will never grow as a person. I have an outgoing personality, and I am not afraid to express my thoughts and opinions about what I think needs to be done. On the contrary, I am also a very respectful person who values others’ opinions and I listen to what others have to say. I am an organized person who stays on task and gets the job done. I am extremely reliable, and you can count on me to always do my part and finish the task at hand. I strongly believe I would be an excellent representation of Washington High School.…

Autism is a disorder that affects a child’s social and emotional skills. It’s a disorder that appears in childhood and continues into adulthood. Each child with autism is unique and has different needs. Each child’s treatment and intervention plan should be tailored to their needs, since no one knows exactly what causes autism. Parents, loved ones, and medical providers need to work together to implement a treatment plan “One method for examining the options for implementation uses a structure we will call the “When-Who- How” approach” (Riegelman and Kirkwood, 2015, p.35).…

As a previous officer, I am familiar with working closely alongside a small group of peers as well as our facilitators, Ms. Ruiz and Mr. Soto, to form a structure that supports Spanish Club and ensures that it is the best it can be. The role of this small team is to work together to create, decide on, and oversee the meetings and activities we as Spanish Club do. As the new Spanish Club President, I would start each meeting with an overview of what the meeting or event will entail. During meetings my job will be to keep us on track and focused with our agenda for that day. At the end of each meeting, it will be my responsibility to remind everyone of upcoming events and meetings to ensure that all members are well informed.…

Hello ! I'm Sam and I am running for sophomore class president! Most of you guys know me or have seen me around school, I mean I'm kind of hard to miss. But, to those of you whom I do not know yet, Hi IM SAM! I am an outgoing, loud person, with a lot of personality. I love to talk and meet new people. Okay let's get to why I'm running and why you should elect me. I'm running for president because I love to see people working together, hand in hand to get things done. I love leaving school everyday knowing I've made a positive impact on the student body. You should elect me because I am a good leader and I am currently a StuCO rep for the freshmen class, so I have experience, I know what works and what doesn't work. I know the commitments involved and there have been many times that I take away from my open labs, or lunch or weekends for student council, and I'm okay with it because I know that time will be spent getting things done. Another reason you should elect me is because I know how to interact with people and I know how to use people's talents in a way that allows them to make a contribution to the group as a whole. Katherine Hepburn said,When I’ve been unsuccessful, I’ve been controlled. When I’ve been successful, I’ve been in control. You should elect me because as president I will delegate, not dictate. I will entrust people with tasks they are willing to pursue, I won't tell them what they have to do. When I was little my mom would always “put me in charge of a small tasks, things that would range from holding the door open for someone to buckling in my little siblings when we were in the car. (she always double checked the buckles) She could have easily done those things by herself and most parents would rather do that than putting their four year old up to it. But she gave me something more than a job to do. She gave me an opportunity to show I could step up. That’s what I want to do as president. I want to give you all opportunities, if youre willing,…

Hi! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Priyanka Patel and I am currently a sophomore. I’m running for the position of secretary and I have been an active key club member for the past two years. I’m proud to say I’m a part of Key Club. It’s not only because of all the great, new people I get to meet, but because I know that with everything we do to service our community, we are benefiting the world. Some don’t take that first step, but just by being in Key Club we all have taken that step, by becoming members of one of the oldest and largest service organizations in the world. As an active member of key club, since the beginning of freshman year, I have thoroughly participated in almost all of the events that Key Club has held. I believe that as the club’s secretary, I will work to the best of my ability to provide as much as I can for this club. The success of Key Club doesn’t only depend on the officers, but also the members of the club itself. For example, I will most definitely be able to bring more volunteering opportunities to the table to get all the members of this club actively involved. These events include Woodbridge Buddy Ball and many more community clean ups in our area! I will be sure to keep up with all of my responsibilities as secretary. If I am given the opportunity to be secretary next year, I will make sure to help lead this club to success. That is my promise, to each and every one of you.…
