Health informatics entails all the holistic activities that involve the systematic application of information, technology, and computer science to the health sector in areas of research, actual practice, and learning. A critical aspect of health informatics in information management that has in time immemorial, entailed the undertaking of logistics ranging from acquisition, analysis, and protection of medical data and information for the core purpose of the provision of quality healthcare (Werder, 2015). Additionally, employees are using the current system inefficiently, ineffectively or inappropriately; thus, resulting in the loss of money for not meeting government regulations. With that said, there arises a need to suggest the implementation of an improved system while simultaneously implementing ways to curb past digression in use. Further, in a bid to ensure that the medical center does not get at logger's heads with the government for violations of various policies, there's a need to provide staff training regarding adherence to the strict policies that center on patient …show more content…
The information management team, for example, is tasked with the provision of the education and training on the use of technology to the various staff members according to the needs. Additionally, this team should ensure that technology updates such as software are made in due time and also that the policies on health information systems are fully adhered to (Kudyba, 2016). Apart from the overall managerial responsibility, the administrative staff will have an interaction with technology through delegation of various roles and duties to the clinical team through utmost communication such as emails, memos and emergency communication avenues (Nadkarni, 2016). The clinical staff has a delegation to ensure maximum patient confidentiality of the patient information and also adequate communication such as from the doctor's prescription to the pharmacist to provide utmost accuracy and
