Health Care Rules in Communication
Team work
Communication is an important part of working in the healthcare field. Team work plays a very significant role in communication. As a part of a team each member of the team need to communicate affectively to their team member. The group will come away with a deeper appreciation and also understand of the skills and talents of the other members.
Team work has many advantages to both the medical team and the hospital. Team can work more efficiently. “Teamwork in the workplace helps in achieving the common objective in less time. When there is a problem, if all the team members are involved, finding a solution to the problem is done in minimal amount of time. With the ideas given, drawing an action plan and assigning people to different tasks happens faster” (Satalkar, 2011).
Not only will team work determination may speed up the delivery in the hospital but a well led team creates loyalty in its members. Not wanting to let your team-mates down can be a powerful motivation. It can give that individual a sense of pride in being a part of a successful group. Team work can also stimulate others to brainstorm their ideas in solving problems. This can actively create a comfort level between the team to share suggestion and don’t hide bad feelings. When a person let bad feelings brew it can sometimes isolate one person from the group. Loyalty between the team is most important because it makes the team feel secure with each other. The team may learn important skills they can use on future endeavors.

One advantage is improved efficiency and speed when carrying out various tasks. When everyone is working together as part of a cohesive unit, there is more shared responsibility and less pressure on select individuals, which usually means jobs can be done more quickly and with less unnecessary fussing involved. One drawback of teamwork in today’s health care organization is conflicts arising when colleagues fall out with one another or have issues outside of work that get in the way of their ability to work together amicably on a project. A common obstacle most teams experience is that some members of the team are always trying to be in control. In order to work through these challenges, every member of the team should took turns being the team lead.…

Teamwork may contribute to increased staff well-being as well as improved patient outcome. In order to effectively teach and reliably assess the quality of teamwork, it is necessary to identify the behaviours associated with effective teamwork and their interplay in relation to clinical performance ratings and ultimately to patient outcome. The main challenge to established teams is to maintain enthusiasm and momentum. This can be achieved by promptly overcoming workload obstacles, resolving conflict between individuals and giving timely feedback on performance. Staffs need to know when they do good work and once the momentum is built, it is easier to maintain and transfer across a number of activities. Overall team performance relies heavily on the individual commitment and contribution of all its established members. The effective established teams are characterised by team members who are enthusiastic, communicate trust to their time efficiently by concentrating on the most important work assignments.…
