Virtual Physician Visits Walmart is a store that offers a variety of products and services to its customers. Walmart has a pharmacy that offers many services such as a walk in clinic, Flu shots, a prescription program that can lower the cost of medications purchased at their pharmacy, generic medication, and a website full of important information concerning prescriptions and hazards (Walmart Inc., 2013). In addition to these services, ABC Consultants would like to add Virtual Physician visits. This paper will describe the product, the impact of the product on the quality of care, quality of life, cost of care, and access. The social, ethical, and …show more content…
The patients will email their symptoms and the doctor will answer them via email on what he feels they should do (Silberstein, 2008). He can also schedule and confirm appointments this way cutting down on phone time for his staff (Silberstein, 2008). Virtual Physician Visit will cut the cost of healthcare to the public, Walmart employees, and give the Pharmacy staff and Clinical Staff more time for other services. Walmart will open the doors to new innovations with this product.

Instead Eads (2007) describes them as a meeting through en e-mail or preferably an Internet-based computer program with chat capability or even web-based cameras.
