Hayk Arakelyan's Case: The Case Of The Subway
INTRODUCTION:
This case involves suspect Hayk Arakelyan DOB 03/21/88, entering the Subway located at 1739 E. Washington Blvd during business hours. Once Arakelyan was inside of the Subway, he walked to the office door that had an "Employees only" sign on it, opened the door, and entered the office. Arakelyan stole $753 US Currency (Various Denominations) that was left on the counter in the office and left the store on foot, traveling west on Washington Blvd. Arakelyan was apprehened and found to be in possesion of the stolen money. Arakelyan was arrested for PC 459 – Burglary and tranposted to The Pasadena City Jail, where he was booked for the listed charge.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION:

The incident occurred at Subway located at 1739 E. Washington Blvd. Thiara Palwinder Kaur is the owner of the Subway.

RECOVERED LOSS:

$753 US Currency ($100x4, $20x13, $10x9, $1x3) Total Value: $753.00

EVIDENCE:

The incident was captured on my body worn camera and uploaded into evidence. The recovered $753 US Currency was booked into property as evidence. See attached copy of evidence form.

On 11/15/17, Haddad and Arakelyan were both at the Subway located at 1739 E. Washington Blvd. for approximately 5 minutes and left the location on foot. Shortly after leaving the Subway, they walked to the corner of Washington Blvd and Sinaloa Ave. Arakelyan left Haddad standing at the corner and returned to the Subway. Haddad does not know why Arakelyan went back inside of the Subway. When Arakelyan returned to the corner of Washington Blvd and Sinaloa Ave., he had money in his hands. Haddad asked Arakelyan, “What is that!” Arakelyan replied something to the effect of, “Armenian Power.” Haddad said the police came shortly after.
