Hawaii Beach Research Paper
As I stepped foot out of the stuffy plane I was immediately approached by the bright, blinding and dazzling beams projected from the sun along with gentle cool breeze that blew "Whoosh." As I inhaled the deep essence of the salty air in disbelief I couldn't believe it. I have landed in Hawaii.
As a tourist, I was greeted with a Hawaiian garland which is referred to as "Lei" which projected out beautifully vibrant colors which also complimented the floral shirt I wore. Finally reaching to claim my luggage, I gazed upon a sea of people in which you can hear the constant chattering from all around. As I exited the airport, I was met again by the bully called the Sun. As the Hawaiian sun beat down on my skin, warming and sun-bathing my arms and legs in

As I waltzed on the beach, squishing down the hot buttery-yellow sand that gave off the hot sensation of a burning grill sizzling my feet, I was immediately taken by the scent of freshly sliced fruits and freshly picked flowers. As you move along, brightly colored fruit stalls filled the sidewalks from which fresh fruit is cut. From a fruit stand, the scent travelled all across the beach with the help of the cool breeze which allowed the scent to fill the air. With my eyes closed, I breathed in the ocean bliss that paraded the beach. As I turn towards the sea, I was amazed. It was a deep blue in some areas but in others a glistening turquoise green. As I made my way towards the water as it laps over each time it reaches to the shore, overhead I heard the frantic screech of seagulls like a sharp knife dragged along a glass. As you dive into the deep blue ocean you can feel and taste the chilly, cool and refreshing water surrounding your body as chills ran down my back. Further from the beach there was a volcano that looked like a giant firework to

Even though Hermosa Beach California and Redondo Beach California are next to each other they are really worlds apart. To a person not raised in the South Bay they look similar but, to someone that is raised in the South Bay it would be like comparing apples to orange both are beaches but, both have a different flavoring. In Spanish Hermosa means beautiful and Hermosa Beach is just that.…

One morning, we decided to go out with some of the guests from the hostel for a hike along the hills by the seashore. These hills were covered in thick blades of grass but had rock faces that were pointed out towards the water. If you looked to your left you’d see these hills go for miles; mound after mound, circular shaped huts with cone shaped roofs sitting on top. African trees as well, looking as if the wind was blowing all the branches to one side of the trunk but they stood absolutely still; frozen in time. To your right you’d see the ocean go out for as far as you can see, while standing on a cliff with an almost vertical drop. From looking at the cliffs from the sides, it showed the many trails descending down the cliffs made by mountain goats and every once and a while you could see one half way down; climbing up. Although our surroundings were incredible, the heat was as well. We went through several bottles of water through-out the hike. Our leader, an African local, lead us down one of the more climbable hills to the ocean floor where it was covered in rock. With the sun beating down on us we felt trapped because we couldn’t swim in the water, the waves were too strong we’d be thrown up against the rocks.…

The waves of the beaches that I observed were all not very big at the time of my observation. The waves were also not going very fast due to the time that I observed at. The weather at the time was cloudy, and I did not see many people at the beaches because it is early in the morning. I also noticed that some of the beaches in Hawaii have rocks near them, while some are surrounded by different types of sand colors. The colors of the waters at different beaches are also different, some are in lighter colors, while the other ones in darker colors.…

Hawaii attracts many tourists per year because of its history, geography, and entertainment. This state is known for its many islands, volcanoes, and climate as well. When I think about Hawaii all I imagine is standing on the beach overlooking the ocean getting hit with the nice warm breeze hearing laughter and seeing smiles. Since “Hawaii is one of the most isolated places on Earth” it makes vacationing there completely stress and worry free, because you are far away from home and nothing on your mind but having a great vacation (Neri p.4).…

Every time I travel to the same place I always see it different each and every time. And every time I travel somewhere I tend to take my camera to capture the life each place has. And ever since I was little I always have been traveling to Hawaii and it's my favorite place of all times, I end up traveling 3-4 times each year to Hawaii. Hawaii is a very different place than California and that's what I like about each place, its different. Every time I visit, we go to the beach in the island of Oahu called Yokohama Beach or either to Ko’Olina and its amazing cause I’m with my family. The green mountains, lots of colorful flowers, coconut trees, the bright blue ocean and most of the sun. Unlike California, the weather is like bipolar and…

After enjoying the beach, I went to witness one of grand volcanoes. The base was worn craggy rock ascending to a charred hollowed out tip. As I watched, billows of white steam rose from deep within the ragged behemoth and were carried away on a ceaseless wind that mimicked an old locomotive. In the water, pillow lava crawled away slowly, angrily hissing and shooting yellow smoke into air and water. Exhaust from the lava invaded my nostrils with the pungent scent of boiled eggs infused with a tinge of earthy minerals. Such contrasting beauty of the impossible blue water, vibrant vegetation of deep to pale green, and a horizon that had hues of every imaginable color, surrounded the sterile landscape of the volcano.…

The beaches in Maui were so beautiful because they weren’t crowded, and the sand was soft; the water was clear and blue. Walking onto the beach the sand beneath my feet was warm and soft. The sand was so soft it felt as if I were stepping on cotton. It was as if soft kittens were beneath my feet. Walking closer to the water I notice that the color was something that I have only seen on TV. The water was blue, and not just any blue. The color was so bright and vivid, when I saw it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Not only was the water blue but it was also very clear. Swimming with my family, I could see our feet below us and little fish too. The fish were all different colors but all very cute. There were many fish of all types that made the ocean floors below me look like a rainbow underwater. They touched my feet, and I screamed because their scales scared me. I was there every day during my vacation, and saw hardly anyone. The beaches were never crowded so I always got a great spot to sit and didn’t run into very many people at all. It was rather peaceful just to have me and my family there on…

The silky, dirty blonde sand slips and slides under my heels. I run to the ocean shore for relief to escape the burning sensation of hot sand. I dip my toe in her shallow waters, a pleasant surprise. The water is cool with undertones of warmth, inviting me in to come and play. I begin to unravel, slowly gliding my whole body into her arms, feeling more comfortable then I had ever imagined I would be. I float across the reflection of the sky, finding peace, finding my place in the world. The breath of the ocean flows through me like a current. All my limbs rejuvenated with nourishing waters and hot sun kissing my fresh, baby…
