Hasheem Thabeet: The Tallest Player In The NBA
Height is a good thing to have when you play basketball. For instance if you’re taller than the average player, you could passor shoot over them. And you could rebound the ball a lot easier. The current tallest player in the NBA is Hasheem Thabeet, standing at a good 7’3’. That’s three feet under away from the goal!!! And his standing reach is 9’6’. 6 inches from the rim. Imagine seeing him dunk. Compared to some of the most famous players in the NBA like Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James that’s tall. With Curry standing at 6’3’, Lebron at 6’8’, and Kobe at 6’6’, that’s massive. If one of them were to play with him on defense, it certainly would make it hard to shoot over him.

After that happened, Auerbach wanted Chamberlain to go to New England University and draft him as a territorial pick for the Celtics, Chamberlain didn’t respond. During the 1950’s, Wilts high school basketball career was outstanding! Wilt received national attention, while attending high school. He had people scout him from different colleges to see this goliath in action. As a player for the Overbrook Panthers , he led his team to City Championships in 1954 and 1955. He also led them to a win against the Northeast high school. In that game he scored 34 points and won Overbrook high school the Public League title.
