Has Technology has improved our lives?

Technology has made an enormous impact in our everyday lives. People have often debated whether technology is good or bad. Many people believe that technology can only cause harm to their lives and to society, while many others strongly defend that technologies make their lives better. In my opinion, technology has improved our lives in many ways including educationally, staying connected with loved ones and through research.

Technology had made many advances in the world. One of the areas of impact is in the field of education. If technology is used in the right ways, it can enhance a student 's learning. Technology offers many forms of media that "combine text, audio, visual, graphic and self-motivated elements" (Bates 40). These multiple forms of media present knowledge in several different ways, such as the, "opportunity for deeper levels of understanding” (Bates 40). However, internet and technology cannot be the only source of information used to teach students. There must be a balance between the teaching through technology and traditional teaching. It is important that students do not get locked into learning through technology alone, or through the traditional way alone.

Communication is a core element to society 's foundation. Communication is used in families, amongst friends, in schools and in government. The advancement of technology has helped to advance the ways in which we communicate with each other. One way technology has advanced communication is through the birth of electronic communication devices. Cell phones, social networking websites, email, and faxes are a few examples of electronic communication devices. These devices have helped to make communication more accessible and convenient. Technology has made communication more convenient by creating more ways to communicate. This is especially true with long distance communication. Internet communication devices have made
