Harriet Tubman Hero
Harriet Tubman was a slave almost her whole childhood until she escaped. Tubman led over 300 slaves to freedom with the help of other abolitionists. Tubman was freeing slaves for almost her whole adult life. Growing up Harriet Tubman had a very rough life from being whipped to verbal abuse. Tubman got moved from being a maid to a woodcutter, Tubman did just about anything. What Tubman was most known for was the Underground Railroad and freeing of 300 slaves.
Harriet can be seen as a hero because of her courageous acts as a young girl. "From early childhood she worked variously as a maid, a nurse, a field hand, a cook, and a woodcutter" (Harriet Tubman).
